Who are Penhaligon’s?

William Penhaligon set out from his rural hometown to start a grooming business in London. Originally working as a barber in the hammam, the Turkish baths on Jermyn Street, he was inspired by the billowing fragrances of the baths to create his first fragrance, Hammam Bouquet. He opened a store in the bath selling fragrances and grooming goods, and in no time at all had attracted the attention of kings and queens the world over.
