Pureology Hydrate Hair Treatment Mask

I do not recommend this at all, don't waste your money. Pureology claim this is the "new and improved" superfoods mask but it is absolutely awful. Terrible decision by pureology. This product is nothing like the superfoods treatment mask and gives disappointing results in comparison. Firstly, the scent has been changed. The superfoods mask had a really nice fragrance to it, most people think it smells like summer due to containing coconut, but it was a gentle scent and not overpowering. This new hydrate mask has an incredibly overpowering smell and personally I found it really unpleasant. It smelt very strongly like floral musk, similar to overpowering old lady perfume that has gone off. The formula has been entirely changed from the superfoods mask. It no longer has more natural ingredients and contains very strong irritants, including mint. It caused quite bad scalp and skin irritation when I used it. This never happened with the superfoods. The results were very disappointing after use. It left hair feeling greasy, weighed down and lifeless. The superfoods would leave my hair feelings so soft and wonderful after use, sadly this one was a huge downgrade in comparison. Also it made my hair smell awful, I disliked it so much I needed to wash it with something else to reduce the smell! Definitely not worth the money. It's really expensive but a very poor quality product in comparison to what the superfoods mask was. If I could give less than 1 star I would. The only positive I can think of is the product packaging has improved, it is much easier to use compared to the tube the superfoods mask came in. Pureology if you are listening: Bring back the original superfoods treatment mask! With the original formula and fragrance!!

The product definitely delivers. My hair is soft and not weighed down. My issue with it is that the peppermint is quite powerful and burns the back of my neck. I like to leave my conditioners on while I shave, and I find it hard to do with this product. The burn is an unpleasantly overpowering tingle. I find myself reaching for other conditioners instead

I didnt know this brand is for colour treated hair. I have thick asian hair but had no problem using this shampoo. It washes your hair and scalp genuinely well and also leave your hair hydrated after.
