Achieve Fuller Lips Without The Needles!

Most gals can handle a bit of lippy, smear it straight on- it’€™s not too hard, right? Well, not everyone has got their lipstick application technique down pat, so we’re here to help!

Lip liner is where it’s at

Always make sure your lips are hydrated, but not moist prior to applying lip liner and lipstick – if your lips are dry, you’ll be left with a cracking appearance, and if you apply directly over gloss or balm, your chosen colour won’t be as pigmented or long-lasting.

To perfect your lip liner application, you may want to create a dot to dot drawing first. Dot the centre point and each peak (a small little dot will do) and then gently sketch them in. You can then follow on with sketching the main lip line and the outer body of the lip.

Highlighting & concealing is essential

After you’ve applied your lip liner and lipstick, use a concealer brush or pen-like concealer to tidy up your lip line, this will prevent lipsticks from feathering and staining the skin surrounding your lips.

A highlighter has so many uses! With your index finger, apply your highlighter just above your Cupid’s bow, and on the centre of your bottom lip.

Plump your pout

Avoid the lip injections by using a lip plumper. No, we’re definitely not referring to one of those ‘Kylie Jenner lip challenge’ devices!

Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip Plumper and HydroPeptide Perfecting Gloss both provide a subtle tint with visible, long-lasting plumpness, minus the needles!

Keeping your lips hydrated by drinking enough water, and using a nourishing balm or gloss will also enhance the appearance of your lips.
