When the news NAK Hair was coming to Adore Beauty first began circulating around our virtual office, to say we were all keen would be an epic understatement.
Not naming names, but someone may or may not have weed a little when they heard about how none of the NAK products cost more than $32.
Already, the affordable salon-quality brand is flying off our metaphorical shelves like hand sanitiser in a pandemic (too soon?), and it's not hard to see why.
There's a lot to love about NAK before you've even had the chance to peel off the silver product seal. For example:
NAK is Aussie-owned and made.
The brand specialises in beautiful hair care for everyone = salon-quality products at affordable prices.
Products start at $14.95, bloody bargain!
NAK is a vegan haircare brand - they're also cruelty-free and don't test on animals.
All NAK hair products are sulphate and paraben-free.
That's all lovely, but when a new product or brand launches, you want to hear the God honest truth and real reviews from people who've actually tried it, right?
It's for this reason I asked five of my colleagues with different hair types to put their manes on the line in order to road test some of NAK's best-selling products.
Enough chat, here's what they thought.
1. NAK Hair Structure Complex No. 3 Bond Enhancer.
Who: Hannah, Brand & Content Manager.
Hair type: Hagrid aka frizzy and coarse (disclaimer: I've recently had a keratin treatment, you can read about it here!).
Product pick: NAK Hair Structure Complex No.3 Bond Enhancer 150ml
Why she loves it:
Being a Hagrid hair girl, I am VERY fussy about my masks. I want instant results, long-term repair and a yummy smell. Is that too much to ask? Apparently not, because this mask ticks all three boxes.
Without getting too science-y, the NAK Hair Structure Complex No.3 Bond Enhancer 150ml will repair your hair from the inside out by rebuilding the bonds in your strands. What's great about this mask is it also contains watermelon seed, hazel seed and coconut oils so your hair will feel instantly hydrated and shiny, too.
Everyone at Adore is raving about the NAK scent and I can confirm... it smells divine. Plus, the packaging is pretty cute.
Someone wrote this review on the product page and I think it sums it up perfectly: "Probably the best smelling hair product I've used".
