We are no longer lusting after matte, two-dimensional complexions like we were ten years ago. We want the glow, and we will stop at nothing to get it.
You know the kind of reflective radiance that makes skin look, well, bouncy?
If you are not sure what I mean, head to NYC makeup artist Nam Vo’s Instagram and scroll through her profile for “dumpling skin” inspiration. Nam is also behind the terms “glowgasm” and “glowjob.”
Since 2017, there has been a spike in searches for terms like “radiance mask,” “glowy skin products,” and “dewy skin.” That does not surprise me, because we have watched celebrity makeup trends shift away from baking and block brows and toward fresh, skin-like finishes and fluffy brows, making it clearer than ever that luminous, healthy-looking skin has become the beauty ideal people are chasing in 2026.

What Are The Best Ingredients For Glowing Skin?
Where do I even start?! There's heaps - but my standout recommendations would be AHAs (glycolic, lactic, mandelic acids), Vitamin B3 (niacinamide) and Vitamin C.
Your alpha hydroxy acids helps to gently resurface the skin, encouraging cell turnover to reveal smoother, softer, glowier skin underneath. Vitamin B3 (which you find out more about here), has brightening and skin evening properties, as does Vitamin C, which also boasts antioxidant benefits to protect the skin from damage.
