If you’re an employee at Adore Beauty, you have the luxury of a generous 40 per cent discount on most products.

A majority of the time, my entire staff order is made up of things for other people. But in my most recent order, I also restocked some of my all-time favourite products.

So, I thought I’d share what I actually add to cart below.

From a moisturiser I'll never stop talking about, to my staple everyday lip gloss, here are eight things that made it into this month's staff order.

1. For Me: Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil-Infused Gloss.

What: Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil-Infused Gloss

Why I added to cart:

I change lip products as often as I change my undies. But not this one. This one is here to stay.

Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil-Infused Gloss has been a staple in my bag for several months. I wear the shade In The Buff, usually with either a MAC or Charlotte Tilbury lip liner underneath. It lasts SO well on the lips for a gloss, and the colour enhances my own natural lip shade.

2. For My Bestie: Alpha-H Hyaluronic 8.

What: Alpha-H Hyaluronic 8 Serum 25ml

Why I added to cart:

When my friend asked me for hydrating hyaluronic acid serum recommendations after using The Ordinary, I went straight to my bougie picks: Skinceuticals, Medik8, Cosmedix.

Side note, you can watch me bang on about my favourite hyaluronic acid serums in this YouTube video below.

Only problem, they're a bit pricey. She quickly reigned the budget in, and we settled on Alpha-H.

In her words, “This serum is lightweight but it doesn’t feel watery and cheap. My combo skin is definitely more hydrated and the texture of my skin has improved since I started using this.”

3. For Dad: The Beauty Chef Glow.

What: The Beauty Chef Glow Inner Beauty Essential

Why I added to cart:

I’ve been pretty vocal about my love for The Beauty Chef Glow. If you haven’t heard me rave about it before, it's really transformed my gut health.

During the first lockdown early last year, I recommended my dad try it. He’s been taking it AND The Beauty Chef Collagen Inner Beauty Boost daily in his water ever since. My tip: Stir your powder supplements into orange juice if you find them hard to stomach!

4. For Me: Virtue Recovery Shampoo.

What: VIRTUE Recovery Shampoo 240ml

Why I added to cart:

I try a lot of shampoos as part of my job, but this is a consistent favourite of mine.

It was recommended to me about 18 months ago by hair stylist Jaye Edwards from Edwards & Co, as I’d just lightened my hair, and I’ve never looked back. It smells like caramel, it’s sulphate-free, and contains Virtue’s signature Alpha-Keratin 60ku which helps to repair damage.

5. For My Sister-In-Law: Aspect Phytostat 9 Moisturiser.

What: Aspect Phytostat 9

Why I added to cart:

Another favourite I’ve gotten everyone in my life to appreciate is Aspect Phytostat 9.

For a couple of weeks, we allowed my brother to use this moisturiser, but he was using about three pumps at a time and finished the whole container in under three weeks, so we had to get him onto a more affordable Avene alternative.

Phytostat is now reserved for my sister-in-law’s use only. I can’t say enough good things about this moisturiser. I love it, she loves it, everyone loves it.

6. Also For My Sister-In-Law: Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation.

What: Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation 30ml

Why I added to cart:

ICYMI, I mentioned this Clarins foundation in a recent YouTube video where Megan and I discussed our favourite dewy foundations. (You can watch that foundation video below.)

I did my sister-in-law’s makeup a couple of years ago and used this foundation, and she was convinced to buy it afterwards.

She wears the shade 106, and I mix 106 and 108. It’s a light to medium buildable coverage with a dewy, radiant finish.

7. For Me: Coco & Eve Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam.

What: Coco & Eve Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam

Why I added to cart:

This was an unexpected obsession for me. When this product first landed on my desk, I was sceptical and put off trying it for ages. I think it was my Beauty IQ Uncensored podcast co-host Hannah who tried it first and told me I needed to give it a go.

I’m so glad I did, because this is one of the best-smelling tans I’ve ever used. The shade Dark complements my skin's warmer undertones and gives me a beautiful, natural-looking bronzey glow. In fact, it looks very similar to my natural tan if I was to sunbake... which I haven’t done in about five years.

8. For Mum: Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution.

What: Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution 30ml

Why I added to cart:

I was gifted this serum in a Christmas pack one year, and since I don’t struggle with discoloration, I gave it to my mum to try. Turns out, she loves it - she swears it has improved the appearance of her age spots.

I actually bought her a refill in my last order and she took it away in a toiletries bag with the lid not screwed on properly. It leaked through her bag. So, this is her replacement.
