Ask any beauty editor worth their weight in mascara and they’ll tell you, the IT Cosmetics CC Cream is a cult product for a reason.
Many reasons, actually.
The full coverage, colour correcting foundation/CC cream hybrid with SPF50+ delivers on its promise - to make your skin look like your skin, but better. Plus, it's always sold out because it's that darn popular.
Then, the brand went and launched a new foundation in early 2021 that says it can give you the ‘your skin but better’ glow, without the thicker full coverage finish.
But is it any good and how does it compare to the original CC cream? And would I be better off choosing either the original CC cream, or the matte or illuminating versions?
Let's break down the difference between the four main IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better foundations, including the original IT Cosmetics CC cream...
IT Cosmetics CC Cream Comparison.
The IT Cosmetics CC cream comes in three versions with different finishes and benefits:
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Illumination SPF 50
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil-Control Matte SPF 40
As Adore Beauty's resident makeup artist Megan explains, all three IT Cosmetic CC creams cost the same amount ($63) and are medium to full coverage.
They also all contain *sunscreen (but it's not enough, you should still wear a primary sunscreen underneath for adequate protection) and are suitable for even those with sensitive or sensitised skin.
OK, so how do you know which of the three IT Cosmetics CC creams is the right one for you?
It depends on A) your skin type and B) what kind of foundation finish you're after.
