Sorry, But These Ridiculously Luxe Fragrances Are 100% Worth Their Bougie Price Tags

Armani Privé Armani Privé

As Adore Beauty’s self-appointed Luxe Correspondent, you won't be surprised to learn I appreciate the finer things in life.

I also spend rather a lot of money on my beauty routine and I don't care who knows it.

Luxury beauty for me is about more than just function.

Yes, you could purchase a $10 perfume from the chemist and it would work perfectly fine.

But I invest in luxe beauty products for the ritual. The experience.

From how that incredible moisturiser envelopes you in a lush aroma, to the gentle application of high-performance foundation and a fragrance bottle that looks just as at home on the coffee table as it would on your bathroom vanity, I'm a proud premium beauty lover.

So, when I first heard AB was launching a Haute Couture fragrance collection from Giorgio Armani, I knew then and there I'd be buying one in my next staff order.

Then I saw the stunning bottles, and I was ready to make the call...

Armani Privé is one my most exciting beauty launches of 2023.

(And yes, it’s only February!)

What Is Armani Privé?

Armani Privé is Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani's Haute Couture fragrance collection.

The Haute Couture bit screams $$$ and there's no sugar coating it, Armani Privé fragrances are some of the bougiest we stock in the Adore Beauty Scent Room.

But what makes these gender-neutral perfumes truly premium is the way they combine single ingredient fragrances that were made to be signature scents, with bottles that double as pieces of art you'd find in a chic Italian villa.

These are fragrances for those who want to have something totally unique and different.

Best Armani Privé Perfumes.

OK, so which Armani Privé fragrance is your next signature scent?

Just as in fashion, think about what you buy when it comes to your personal style.

Do you see yourself in statement hues and unforgettable prints? There's a good chance you'll love the long-lasting EDP (eau de parfum) Armani Privé scents in the bold, colourful bottles.

More refined or minimalist (but not boring) dressers might gravitate towards the light, pared-back EDT (eau de toilette) fragrances in the pastel bottles, or the opulent, sensual Armani Privé Musc scents.

Just want someone to tell you which Armani Privé fragrance to add to cart... or grant you permission to do so?

Here our the top three Armani Privé picks we think will become best sellers.

1. Armani Privé Figuier Eden EDT.

Armani Privé Figuier Eden Armani Privé Figuier Eden

Giorgio Armani Privé Figuier Eden EDT 50ml is described as a Mediterranean Garden of Eden - green, lush, warm and fruity.

Smells like:

  • Head: Pink Pepper, Bergamot and Mandarin Orange.

  • Heart: Fig, Tea and Grass.

  • Base: Iris and Amber.

Why we’re obsessed with it:

This fragrance is quickly becoming one of our new favourites in the AB Fragrance Team.

Maybe it's the gorgeous pastel purple hue of the bottle. Or the shimmery top notes of pink pepper that make people want to know what perfume you're wearing.

If you usually like green, aquatic fragrances, Armani Privé Figuier Eden is exactly that, but with fruitier notes of fig and orange for extra life and freshness.

Most definitely one for that next summer seaside escape.

Or anytime you want to close your eyes and pretend you're on one.

2. Armani Privé Bleu Lazuli EDP.

Giorgio Armani Privé Bleu Lazuli EDP 50ml is an homage to the sensuality of leather directly on the skin, in a bottle that reflects the deep blue seas and skys of India.

Smells like:

  • Head: Mate, Cardamom and Bergamot.

  • Heart: Plum, Osmanthus and Jasmine.

  • Base: Honey, Tobacco, Vanilla and Sandalwood.

Why we’re obsessed with it:

I know what you’re thinking, but this isn’t your Dad’s old spice fragrance.

It's refined and captivating, strong yet gentle. And the notes of honey and vanilla add a softness you wouldn't expect from the piercing blue bottle.

The lingering scent is light and easy to wear, and I must say I've worn it almost every day since the bottle arrived.

I often categorise my fragrances by what kind of date I'd wear them on. I'd say Bleu Lazuli is sexy enough for a long lunch or meeting the parents.

Intriguing and alluring, but not overpowering.

3. Armani Privé Pivoine Suzhou EDT.

Giorgio Armani Privé Pivoine Suzhou EDT 50ml is the definition of a special occasion fragrance, but wearable enough for every day, too.

Think: A celebration of peony and rose wrapped in a bouquet of spicier ambery notes.

Smells like:

  • Head: Raspberry, Pink Pepper and Mandarin Orange.

  • Heart: Peony, May Rose and Rose.

  • Base: Musk, Amber and Patchouli.

Why we’re obsessed with it:

Again, another pink pepper fragrance appears in our top picks list - we predict this is going to be very popular.

The peach-toned clear bottle reflects the traditionally feminine flirty and bright aromatic notes, but added amber, musk and patchouli give it that something extra that goes a bit deeper.

Searching for a wedding day signature?

Our resident wedding makeup artist Megan says this “zesty, clean scent with an understated sexiness" could be it.

So, Is Armani Privé Worth the Money?

Look, you're speaking to Adore's Luxe Correspondent here, remember?

So naturally, I'm going to say yes because they smell, look and feel divine.

But in terms of who Armani Privé is for, it's the fragrance aficionados and signature scent-wearers.

And anyone who can't resist the feminine urge to have one of these ridiculously good-looking fragrance bottles sitting on their bedside table.

Still not sure? That’s OK and we get it.

Buying fragrances online is tricky when you can't smell them in real life first.

That's why at Adore Beauty, you can actually road-test these uber luxe fragrances and return them if they aren’t your cup of tea.

Huh?!

The best part about purchasing fragrances like these from Adore Beauty's The Scent Room, is that every full-size purchase comes with a free sample vial so you can try it before opening the bottle.

If it's not love at first smell (or you're not into it after wearing it for a few days), you can send it back unopened for a refund.

Go on then. Which Armani Privé are you going to try first?
