If you are using The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane for the first time, perform a patch test before applying it to your face. Apply a small amount to a discreet area and check for any signs of irritation before regular use. Step 3. Apply a few drops of The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane to your face using clean fingertips. A small amount is enough to cover the application area. Step 4. Gently massage the squalane oil into your skin until absorbed. Avoid direct contact with your eyes. Step 5. Use The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane after serums and before heavier creams, or as the final step of your skincare routine after moisturiser if preferred. Step 6. Use the oil once or twice daily, morning and evening, or as needed as part of your skincare routine. Step 7. If using the oil in the morning, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen as the final step of your skincare routine before makeup or sun exposure. Step 8.
