What kind of brush does it use, and what effect does it give?

Lovely mascara which stands by its name- absolutely zero smudge. When you rub your eyes, little clumps can come off but it still doesn't smudge. To get a bolder look, you need to do several layers.

One of the best I've tried that actually doesn't smudge, drop or clump. I love it. It makes my fine lashes look naturally long and thick. My eyes don't itch at the end of the day.

True to its name it does not smudge. I have tried various high-end brands and they have always smudged, finally a product that is true to its word, very impressed will definitely repurchase.

I've tried so many different mascaras but I always come back to this. I've got quite long lashes as well as hooded eyelids so I often get smudges however not with this mascara! It lasts all day and comes off with some makeup remover at night - definitely not just with cleanser.

This mascara is simply the best. I have been using this exclusively for well over 5 years now. It really doesn't smudge...stays put ALL day. No panda eyes. Lengthened lashes.

I received this mascara from my recent Estee Lauder purchase from Adore. This mascara doesn't smudge but i am finding it extremely hard to get my lash to curl and hold in place. I am not too sure why or maybe I didn't use it correctly, as I am not as mascara girl.

The only mascara I've ever used that truly is smudge proof. I had been trying to find a mascara which doesn't smudge for about ten years. I'm not sure why my mascara always moves down under my eyes but this is the only mascara which stays in place! I love it.

I love all of Estee Lauder mascara's but this has to be my favourite! Seperates lashes without being lumpy and makes them look super long! I alway get compliments with this one.

This mascara is gorgeous when you first put it on, but as the day goes on, it drops and smudges quite a bit. There are better mascaras out there.

This mascara looks great on the lashes, but if i happen to get some water in my eyes during the day (even a single teardrop will do it) it dissolves and stings my eyes so bad i have to rush to take it off my eyes otherwise i end up literally not being able to see until i take it off. i have to remember to carry makeup remover and pads with me when using it.

After looking at reviews for the best mascara for short and sparse lashes - this is definitely it. After applying 3-5 coats my lashes looked so long, dark, and lightweight. Highly recommend this for those with short lashes!
