Hello friends, I’m here to tell you a little skin fairy tale that's actually a true story.

It's about the first product that really transformed my skin. 

Once upon a time, there was (and still is) one of the most popular ingredients in beauty.

This star ingredient brightens and evens out your complexion, helps to reduce the appearance of pores, improves dullness, soothes and restores skin and also helps to strengthen compromised skin barriers. 

Oh, it also encourages collagen and addresses fine lines and wrinkles. 

Sounds like an overachiever, right?

The ingredient is called niacinamide. Her science-y nickname name is vitamin B3.

Niacinamide is found in a slew of different beauty products from moisturisers to serums because of its many positives for the skin. 

It also just so happens to be the hero ingredient in the first $9.50 serum that really transformed my skin.

Like most mere mortals, I have textured skin. But I used to have bumpier, rougher and much duller-looking skin.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% was one of the first skincare products I ever bought.

It now has me repeating this to every person who has ever stepped into my orbit:

"The Ordinary Niacinamide is one of the first products where I saw a visible change in my skin after only a couple of weeks of using it.”

I had really dull skin for years, and had no idea that the right skincare could change this!

After a month of using The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I started to notice some real changes in my skin. 

My face also looked more clear and bright, and what I mean by this is my complexion looked and still looks much more even. 

My skin looked and felt less rough and bumpy, and it had really smoothed out.

You can layer and mix The Ordinary niacinamide serum with most skincare products and ingredients, with the exception of vitamin C (unless the ingredients are specifically formulated together).

If you're looking for The Ordinary niacinamide skincare routine help, here's how I like to use it in my regimen.

In the morning, I pop my vitamin C on with my sunscreen for double antioxidant protection.

I prefer to keep niacinamide for the PM. I lightly smooth the serum over my face after cleansing, gently patting it into my skin while it's still a little damp. I then follow up with any moisturisers or face oils.

Should you buy The Ordinary niacinamide? Yah, duh.

The Ordinary niacinamide serum has been a holy grail product of mine for many years.  

Of course over the years, I’ve incorporated many other active ingredients and beauty products into my routine.

They have all contributed to my skin health, but this serum truly was my first love.

I’ve gone through so many bottles of this stuff and will never stop!
