Yeah. It's confusing.
So, if all three of these products contain the same dead skin cell-eating ingredient, does that mean they do the same thing? Or are they different? And how am I meant to know which one to buy? (Please tell me I don't have to buy all three...)
We hear you, and we're here to help. (And no, you don't need all three.)
Ranked from beginner to advanced, keep scrolling for a simple recap of these Alpha-H exfoliating products, including which one's best for your skin.
1. Alpha-H Liquid Gold.
What: Alpha-H Liquid Gold - Never used glycolic acid before? This cult exfoliating toner will legitimately blow you away.
Liquid Gold is a great beginner chemical exfoliant, or for anyone who wants an effective product that isn't too expensive.
Contains 5 per cent glycolic acid to exfoliate the surface layer of the skin for a brighter, smoother skin appearance, plus liquorice extract and silk proteins.
The overnight results are instant - people say they wake up with a new face after using Liquid Gold...
With consistent use, Liquid Gold can reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin texture and dullness.
It's fairly affordable at $55.95 for a 100ml bottle that will last you forever.
There are over 2,000 reviews for this product on Adore, with customers rating it 4.6 out of 5 stars. Noice.
How to use Alpha-H Liquid Gold:
Soak a cotton pad in the toner and swipe it on cleansed skin once a week, always at night. Slowly increase to every second or third night if your skin can tolerate it. And remember, too much burning isn't a good thing when it comes to exfoliating.
Apply other hydrating serums or moisturisers on top if you like. This is called 'buffering' and it's a great idea if you haven't used glycolic acid products before because it will buffer the effects to minimise any irritation.
