Most Helpful Positive

Great for double cleansing

This is by far a favourite cleanser. Using it was like a ritual for my face. It melts a full face of makeup away with ease. The consistency isn’t thick either so it doesn’t feel cumbersome and it washes off your face well. Great smell too.

probably better if you have dry skin, I'm not too sure about this one, my face doesn't feel dry but it also doesn't feel that clean

  2. very gentle and nourishing cleanser

very gentle and nourishing cleanser, great if you have sensitive or dry skin. i don't feel like my face is cleansed though, because it leaves like a slight residue

  4. Maybe

A really hydrating cleanser that melts my makeup off. However, it is a little more expensive than other oils that do similar jobs.
  5. Hydrating

I use this in the evening as a precleanse if I've been wearing makeup during the day. Really soft, hydrating and smells lovely. I do have to use a cleanser afterwards, as it's not as cleansing as I'd like on its own
  6. Lovely oil cleanser just not suited to me

I received a sample of this but unfortunately it just wasn't for me. It smells lovely, it feels lovely and doesn't dry out my dry/sensitive skin however I found it didn't remove all of my makeup and I had to cleanse twice. It is nice and gentle on your skin but I prefer a more foaming cleanser. Would work great if you were after a gentle cleanser for sensitive skin.
  7. Amazing and hydrating!

Totally worth the money - I live in rural NSW and have combination skin that is always out in the sun and getting clogged up by dust. This is very hydrating and gets all of my makeup off easily. You don't need to use much - I bet it lasts for ages! Will definitely buy again after I finish this bottle
  8. Need to double cleanse

I love the nourishing nature of this cleanser but I do have to double cleanse if im wearing makeup. This one emulsifies with water in the palm on my hand & needs a lot of water splashed on the face to remove. So i apply it and rinse it off in the shower, but wish it had a more shower-friendly bottle (not glass).
  9. A beautifully gentle yet thorough cleanser

I have combination, sensitive and congested skin and have to wear makeup every day for work, I also work in an airport where my skin is exposed to poor quality polluted air. Once I remove my makeup each evening, I’ve noticed this cleanser does a really beautiful job, my skin feels refreshed, calm and is noticeably cleansed however still really hydrated after I use it. it doesn’t feel completely stripped, dry or irritated at all. I really like this product and would highly recommend trying it out. The price for the amount you receive is excellent as well.
  10. The whole parsley seed range is amazing

I love this cleansing oil as a second step cleanser in my routine. I find it works best once your makeup has been removed and you are using warm water.

It lathers up surprisingly and I use it with my Clarisonic deep pore cleansing head in the shower. You don't need a lot and this is so moisturising and lovely (especially if you don't use any other oils in your skincare routine)

The entire parsley seed range from aesop is lovely if you are willing to spend the money on it.
  11. Adore this product

I am a massive fan of this product. I find it super hydrating on my skin which can be dry and very sensitive. Any friend I have recommended this too just adores it. Feels beautiful on the skin and lasts ages
  12. HG cleansing oil

This product is amazing - smells fabulous, lasts forever. I use it on damp hands, in the shower (I store it outside the shower as per packaging and am very careful not to drop it!), it emulsifies easily and feels really luxe. The lid/packaging hasn't failed me and it is easy to get the right amount. I'll repurchase this for a long time, I think!
  13. Love it!

Just before I get in the shower each night, I rub this on to my face, and it just melts away the makeup, leaving your skin feeling so smooth!
  14. Not a good product

I used this product for a few weeks and it caused milia around my eyes. It was a gradual process that I didn't identify immediately otherwise I would have discontinued use from day 2. My GP explained to me that milia are white fatty deposits that can develop around the delicate skin of the eye area. I put it down to the oily nature of this product that is simply not suitable for use around the eyes. I am very disappointed about this as i will need treatment from a dermatologist to remove the milia. I purchased this product because it came recommended and because it was listed as being suitable for sensitive skin. I definitely do not recommend this product.
  15. doesnt emulsify

I am a lover of the Aesop brand and when my normal oil cleanser (another brand) was discontinued :( I decided to try Parsley seed facial cleansing oil and after using other Aesop products I had high hopes, I'm currently using the parsley seed moisturiser. I was disappointed that the product doesnt emulsify easily. It has the distinct parsley seed smell and its a rich oily colour. There is a advice on the bottle not to leave or use the bottle in the shower, I dont really know why, maybe because its glass. I usually use the oil in the shower so I was disappointed in that. And it doesnt emulsify easily. It just feels like a watery product on my skin when I try and emulsify it with a tiny bit of water, it just doesnt work. I wont purchase this particular product again.
  16. I like it but...

I like Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Oil, but it's not the best I've used and I'm generally a big Aesop fan. It's quite a thick texture, does an ok job of removing a day's worth of waterproof makeup and sunscreen, smells nice and is a treat to use given the luxurious feel and packaging. But it stings my eyes like crazy!

I usually don't have such issues and prefer to use a makeup remover/first cleanse that does my whole face, but with Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Oil I now need to add a whole separate step to my routine.

I suggest giving it a go if you're a fan of oil cleansing, or maybe it's just best as a morning cleanser. I'll be using it up and enjoying it as I do, but I won't be repurchasing it as I think there are more effective Aesop products for makeup removal. Also, I highly recommend purchasing the pump for the 200ml bottle.
  17. never using anything but this oil again

    silver star

I used to use a truly great l'Occitane olive oil product on my face. Then they discontinued it. I've been searching for nearly 2 years for something oil based to use as a cleanser. I was getting by on a home-made one but this is so much better.

I love the slightly earthy, carroty smell and the orange colour. I often use it straight on my skin without water when I want a really good cleanse. A few drops goes a long way.

It mixes down with water easily and washes or wipes off in one go. Skin feels dewy, not oily and I have had zero breakouts. My skin looks firmer and feels more hydrated.

i love it. Please don't stop making this Aesop.
  18. Totally getting into this!

I was a bit nervous about trying this since I have combination skin but, since my skin's been dry this winter (wonder if it has anything to do with being nearly 46!) I thought I'd give it a go. It's totally different to what I'm used to in a cleanser but I love it. It's easy to use, smells awesome and, best of all, I didn't end up feeling greasy or dry. I really love it.
  19. Lovely product

I really like all Aesop stuff and this is no exception. Previously, I was using coconut oil to remove makeup/ sunscreen and then a cleanser but found the coconut oil a little heavy for my skin and broke out.
This is lovely and light, you only need a few drops so it will last for ages. It is great at cleaning off makeup or as a gentle cleanser in the morning. I would recommend this.
  20. Heavenly oils

This is a really gorgeous product.
It looks gorgeous – all classy and refined and the packaging is totally practical. With a flip top lid and a hard sturdy bottle, my every amount of oil poured out is controlled. The smell, Oh the smell is heavenly; like pure, fresh lavender with the unification of fresh and zesty herbs. It has a thin consistency which spreads evenly over the skin and a little goes a long way. It rinses very easily and for the drier skinned beauties out there it could potentially be used sans a follow-up cleanser. For an oily beauty like me I do prefer to cleanse again afterwards. The combination of a quality formulation, gorgeous scent and gorgeous packaging is a winner.
  21. smells great and heaps of product!

this bottle will last ages!! i dont like that its a flip lid though, a pump would be perfect.
I used it for a week and broke out, but i was also using coconut oil for moisturiser so Im not sure which did it. I have stopped both until my skin clears and will try aesop again. its smells so good and does make my skin feel soft. im usually prone to breaking out with products as it is, so may not break everyone out
  22. Gret product!

Love this cleansing oil, cleanses your face effectivly and leaves your skin soft and fresh - something I will be continuing to use for sure!

Love this. I never thought a cleansing oil would come as close in the race as my beloved Shu Uemura one but this does. Great consistency - quite thin and applies easily; rinses really well with water and leaves no residue; smells amazing - so calming to use at night; only a little bit is needed. It looks beautiful too of course but loses half a point because it would be much handier to use if it had a pump top.

Impressed that the bottle has a flip top lid! As always the Aesop packaging is just gorgeous. Looks great in my bathroom! Easily removes makeup and/or sunscreen and leave no greasy residue. Skin feels soft and smooth. Lovely lavender scent. Probably not the best for sensitive skin and I have been avoiding my eye area just incase.
