How to Use Step 1. Cleanse your face and gently pat your skin dry before applying The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2%. Use this exfoliating serum after cleansing and before moisturisers, creams or facial oils. Step 2. If you are using The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2% for the first time, perform a patch test before applying it to your face. Apply a small amount to a discreet area and check for any signs of irritation before regular use. Step 3. Apply a few drops of the serum to your face using clean fingertips. Avoid the eye area and do not apply to broken or irritated skin. Step 4. Gently spread the serum evenly over your skin and allow it to absorb. Do not rinse off. Step 5. Follow with a moisturiser to complete your evening skincare routine. Apply moisturisers, creams or facial oils after The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2%. Step 6. Use the serum as directed, preferably in your evening routine. If your skin is new to exfoliating acids, begin with less frequent use and increase gradually as tolerated. Step 7. The following morning, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen as the final step of your skincare routine before makeup or sun exposure. Exfoliating acids can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight. Step 8. Avoid using The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2% in the same routine as other direct acids, retinoids, direct vitamin C products or strong active treatments unless advised by a skincare professional. Step 9. Close the bottle securely after each use and store it in a cool, dry place. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek advice from a healthcare professional if needed.

Will this product help with acne scars?

A.Hi Claudia, Thanks for your message, we hope you are well. Yes this can definitely help with acne scars as it's an exfoliating serum that helps to remove any dead skin cells including acne scars. Depending on your skin type you can even try the higher strength of Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% or even their Glycolic Acid as it's a higher strength AHA. I hope this helps!
