Shop Foaming Cleansers

Keeping your skin clean is important for so many reasons and will ensure your complexion looks clear, smooth, and healthy on a daily basis. The best way to keep your skin clean is to reach for a cleanser in the morning and in the evening but with so many available it can be daunting to know which formulation to go for. Adapting your beauty routine to your skin type is crucial and is the most important factor to keep in mind when choosing your cleanser. Foaming cleansers are great for some skin types but not suitable for all.

Foaming cleansers are exactly what they sound like, they create a foaming lather when applied and combined with water. They are pretty powerful cleansers and will remove even the most stubborn grime, oil, makeup, and sunscreens but this does mean that they can be a little more drying than other cleansers.

However, foaming cleansers have come along way from what they used to be and are more than often formulated with nourishing oils and hydrants to ensure that moisture is locked in and skin isn’t left feeling dehydrated. Despite this, we still recommend foaming cleansers for those with oily skin and acne-prone skin the most as they will thoroughly remove excess oils and breakout-causing bacteria. We recommend you stick to cream and balm cleansers if you have dry or sensitive skin as foaming ones can be a little more abrasive.

The Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel is one of our bestselling cleansers as it effortlessly eradicates excess oils, dead skin cells, and pollutants yet has a soap-free and non-drying formula so won’t disturb your skin’s natural moisture function. The Aspect Purastat 5 Cleanser is another firm favourite. The multi-purpose foaming cleanser offers gentle exfoliation to the skin using a gentle blend of sugar and coconut extracts to detoxify skin while delivering the deepest of cleanses.

Bioderma Sensibio Foaming Gel

Great cleanser

I have sensitive/reactive skin and have been using the creamy, lotion type cleansers for sensitive skin but they never clean properly and leave my skin feeling like it hasn't been rinsed properly.
This foaming gel has solved all my problems! It cleans perfectly and after it's all said and done, my skin feels fresh without overdrying and there's no redness or reaction. This is definitely a cleanser I would recommend for sensitive skin that actually cleans, and I will be repurchasing.

rosacea's enemy

I bought this seeing it was recommended for sensitive skin. My rosacea flared badly after using. I would not recommend this to anyone with super sensitive skin

Dr. Bronner Castile Liquid Soap - Rose 946ml

Lovely feminine scent

These bronner liquids work really well for some things - think handwash or foot soaks and bubble baths (as long as they’re super diluted). Personally I think they’re too stripping for washing the face or hair, they leave a film on dishes/glasses, and are not ideal for housecleaning in my personal opinion. Certainly not quite as versatile as claimed.
