Let’s get one thing out of the way: I have hyperhidrosis. That means sweat and I are unfortunately well-acquainted. And as someone who also adores makeup… this combo? Not ideal.
So, every time a new setting spray launches, I’m already mentally adding it to cart and wondering: will this one finally rival my OG and
stop my face from sweating off?
So, when Huda Beauty dropped the
Easy Bake Setting Spray, I knew I had to put it to the ultimate test: a big, fat Indian wedding in Bali.
Why an Indian wedding? Because they’re not just weddings, they’re festivals.
A week of back-to-back events, outfit changes, dance performances, 30-degree heat and frizz inducing humidity.
As a bridesmaid, you’re not just attending, you’re performing. So, if a setting spray can hold up through that, I’m interested.
For the test, I went all in:
Huda’s primer, foundation,
Easy Bake loose powder, and finally, the setting spray.
I wore this combo across four days for over 10 hours!
Huda Beauty Setting Spray Review:

Let’s get straight into it! The packaging? Well thought out. It has a little twist lock on it so when you’re not using this, it doesn’t spray or spill. I personally prefer these types of cans to ones with lids because I’m always losing them!
The formula? Promising. But my first spritz, not gonna lie was a bit of a jump scare. The nozzle didn’t give me that ultra fine mist I was hoping for.
Instead (kinda large) droplets landed unevenly across my face, which meant I had to fan it down to help it dry without disturbing my base. Again personally, I’m, always doing my makeup in a rush, so… I did find this a little annoying!
However, once it dried though? STUNNING!
My skin looked blurred and set, without any stickiness or tightness. It gave that soft matte finish that pairs beautifully with a full glam beat.
Does The Huda Beauty Setting Spray Last?

Immediately after applying the Huda Beauty Setting Spray versus 2 hours later.
Alright, here’s where it gets real. The four days… I was running around a lot! From breakfast to events, late night bridesmaids’ practices and even through multiple dances… I sweated. A L O T! Like, a lot a lot.
And here’s what I noticed:
Indoors, especially in AC the spray held everything together. My base stayed flawless, no weird separation or fading and I didn’t need constant touch-ups. I looked great in photos, even late into the early hours of the morning.
Is the Huda Beauty Setting Spray Sweat-proof?
Outdoors though? It didn’t stop the sweat.
And to be fair no setting spray really can (or at least hasn’t for me!).
My makeup definitely broke a bit when I had to step into full Bali humidity, especially on my upper lip and around the sides of my nose (but it didn’t melt off).

Huda Beauty Setting Spray wear and blot-test after 7 hours of wear.
However, when I blotted with paper, I noticed some transfer. Nothing disastrous, but enough to clock it.
So, would I say it’s sweat proof? No. Would I say it does a solid job at locking in your look once you’re out of the heat? Yes.
Is Huda Beauty Setting Spray the Best?
Now, I won’t name names, but I did a cheeky side by side with my ride or die setting spray, the one that’s often compared to literal face hairspray.
In terms of staying power, that one still takes the lead, especially dancing through Bali humidity (slightly less transfer during blotting).
But besides that, the difference wasn’t huge. Huda’s Easy Bake spray held its own surprisingly well, especially considering how well it layered with the rest of her base range.
What I Loved:
Sets makeup with a smooth and blurred finish
Lightweight, non-sticky feel once dried
Works beautifully indoors or in cooler climates
LITERALLY leaves you looking airbrushed when paired with the rest of the Huda complexion products
What I Didn’t Love:
The spray nozzle: it needs to be finer
The claim that it’s sweat proof, when it’s not...
Requires a bit of fanning to settle evenly (wouldn’t be an issue with someone who has better time management than me)
Final Verdict: Would I Recommend It?
If you’re already a fan of
Huda’s base products and want something that ties the routine together, this is a fantastic addition.
It gives your makeup that final seal and holds up pretty well in high-pressure situations (which an Indian wedding is).
Just don’t expect it to be your shield against extreme humidity or intense dancing (I don’t think any product is that powerful).
Would I repurchase? 100% especially for weddings, nights out, or glam events that mostly happen indoors.
It’s not replacing my OG, but the fact that she’s made a travel mini and it held up through the wedding, means it’s definitely earned a spot in my travel bag.
