Love how my loose dust powder turns into a vibrant eyeliner! It was discontinued but praise Napoleon it’s back
  1. Never again!

I spent a humiliating day out in public with my eyes weeping after I had applied this. Seriously my eyes didn't stop weeping for at least half a day after which I promptly returned to Adore Beauty (who were very good about a return)
  2. Great product

I mainly use this to set my loose eye dust and it works really well.

Sealers are amazingly useful products. I have, let me count them...fifty seven different eye pencils and with a product like this I can leave the majority of them at home. Which is a huge slab of products. No more do you have to worry about having a liner that matches your different shadow shades or to harmonise with every eye-colour because you can turn any shadow into eyeliner. I still keep a cake liner for lining in black especially if doing a wing, but I still use this to seal them, and I still keep kajal for the waterline if necessary, and I like some blendable pencils for fine highlighting and shading, like around the lip and brow-line, or the corners of the eyes. But being able to take five pencils instead of fifty is a huge blessing, and because I need fewer pencils I can focus on getting only the highest quality products. If you only need five pencils instead of fifty the price of good products will not make you cry.

Also despite what it says on the tin you can sealers to many liquid or cream makeup products in order to increase the staying power and wear-time. Try putting a few drops in a liquid foundation for example. This is very helpful if you're worried about sliding. You can also use it to thin alcohol-based airbrush makeup, or add a drop to any airbrush base for a really durable finish. Usually I use Ben Nye final seal for this but the Napoleon Product is also extremely good, and the tiny little bottle is a big space-saver.

  5. Irritating to the eye

    Ruby

I wanted to like this product but unfortunately it stung like crazy if I got it in my eye.

I've mainly used this sealer to stick glitter to my eyes and for this it worked well however it didn't much in terms of preventing my eye liner from smudging.

Ultimately I don't think I'd purchase or recommend this product as it simply was too irritating to my eyes.

I love the effect the Cake Eyeliner Sealer has. It can hold the intensity of Napoleon Perdis' Loose Eye Dust as well as the Cake Eyeliner and keeps the pigment strong and smudge-free. Genius.
