Most Helpful Positive

Winter must

Sarah

Use a pea size amount for each hand and massage in to make your hands feel smooth and hydrated. I keep this on my desk and use it every second day or so

Most Helpful Criticism

Too greasy

Jessica

I much prefer the original formula, this one feels greasy and leaves a film over my hands that goes over anything I touch. It is definitely thick and intense

I suffer from dry skin and this product keeps my skin very hydrated! I would recommend this to anyone!

Such a must have for those with problematic skin! I suffer from dry skin and this product keeps my skin very hydrated!

  4. INTENSE hydration

    Sylvia

If you thought the original shea butter hand cream was hydrating, this one is on another level! You only need the tiniest amount, and it deeply hydrates and moisturisers. Yes it leaves a protective layer on the skin, but it kinda needs too in order to seriously protect hands. Would be magical in Winter (snowy, wind chill conditions) or for those who work with their hands.
  5. Lovely product

    Hayley

I bought this as a gift for my grandmother and she really likes it. She does a lot of gardening and finds this hand cream very helpful.
  6. My favourite

    Katie

This is actually my favourite favourite hand cream ever.
I hesitated over the price tag, but I do not regret the purchase at all.
I have very dry skin and hands so the intensive version is perfect for me. (not sure if other people would prefer a lighter formula, but I imagine it would suit everyone in winter).
It feels so luxurious and nourishing.
I have incorporated it into my self care night time routine.
Would definitely recommend to others. I can't rave about this enough.
  7. Good Greasy-ish

    Tea Sommelier

Compared to the L'occitane Shea Butter Hand Balm, the new intensive hand balm has an extra 5% Shea butter and its presence is noticeable. It is greasier than the original, with more shea butter, that is expected. But if you give it some time, it does sink in, and the difference is tangible. They're not that greasy that you can't pick up delicate objects. Probably best to use this as an overnight treatment if don't like greasy-ish hands.
I'll personally be using the Intensive Hand Balm from L'occitane instead of their original hand balm.
  8. greasy but good

    Sally

Another great product from the line! I find this one only appropriate to use at night as it is extremely hydrating for my dry skin. Can feel a bit greasy so make sure to only use a little bit! I would recommend this to anyone!
  9. Winter Product

    MJ

Definately a product to use during Winter if you suffer from dry hands. It is definately an intensive balm and keeps your hands protected from the cold!

A small amount goes a long way!
  10. Very rich texture

    Alex

I like the original a lot and this is apparently the next level. It's definately richer but I find it too greasy and it doesn't absorb as well. Still great though, would definite recommend in winter or for colder climates
  11. Very rich

    John

I'm a huge fan of the original shea hand cream and was eager to give this one a go. It's definately more intense and richer than the original. Probably a bit too much for everyday but it's definately good for winter or for intense dry hands
  12. Too greasy

    Jessica

I much prefer the original formula, this one feels greasy and leaves a film over my hands that goes over anything I touch. It is definitely thick and intense
  13. Beautifully rich

    Lily

This hand cream is beautifully rich and makes my hands so soft. Be sure to use a small amount because that's all you need!
  14. Excellent hand cream

    Emily

Beautiful moisturising hand cream! Very nice
  15. So good

    Jay

Such a good hand cream. Loccitane do an amazing job at hand creams and this is no exception.
  16. Incredibly rich hand cream

    Vivienne

If you have really dry hands, this incredibly rich hand cream will be the best cure. I love it, but it does leave a slight greasy residue
  17. Very Rich

    Ri

This is a very thick, thick and rich cream. I bought this for my mum to use during winter and she said that you need a really small amount otherwise it does make your hands greasy and slippery. It smells nice, maybe like vanilla?
  18. Really nice but a bit pricey

    hg

L'Occitanes products are so good and this didn't disappoint! Makes my hand so soft and lovely! Smells great and I really love it. I took a star off because I do think that it's a bit pricey

Would definitely recommend and I will probably repurchase it for a gift but not for myself as it's a bit expensive for me
  19. Ultra rich hand cream

    M

I've been a fan of the original for many years but this is a nice, slightly more intense and richer version. Because it is richer, I feel it leaves my hands a bit greasy for longer, the product takes longer to absorb. But it is very nourishing!
  20. Even better than original

    Bec

I have been using the original shea butter hand cream for years and years. This product is even better, after one use, my dry cracked hands are baby soft. The product absorbs quickly with no oily or greasy feeling.
  21. Perfect for winter

    Siobhan

In winter my hands and cuticles become so dry and in three days this cream has transformed my skin! Lovely and thick, and a little goes a long way.
  22. The ultimate rich hand balm

    Kate Morris (Adore Beauty Founder)

My hands have been super dry this winter and this hand balm has been a godsend. It is super duper thick and rich and you can still feel it on your hands hours afterwards; I use it at night and can still feel it in the morning. I wouldn't use it during the day as it's a bit too thick. Smells gorgeous like all L'Occitane products.
  23. Love this product. Must have in winter

    Elizabeth

My hands are very dry especially in winter. This handball has been a life saver. It has 25% Shea butter I think so is super moisturising. It dies leave your hands feeling a little greasy but that’s exactly what my extremely dry hands need. A beauty product favourite. Highly recommended to anyone needing that something extra this winter.
  24. Lovely hand cream!

    Michelle

This is such a lovely hand cream which is especially great in Winter. It has 25% Shea compared to the normal 20% for L'Occitane Shea hand cream. I can tell the difference with the extra Shea because it keeps my hands feeling even softer and moisturised for longer. A little goes a long way!
  25. Intense moisture

    Melinda

I like to call this the extreme version of the original shea butter hand cream, which I have loved for a long time. I only used this product recently and it blew me away. It's significantly thicker and richer than the original, but sinks in really nicely. It does leave a slightly greasy feel, which disappears in a minute. I also love to use it to give my elbows and knees a little TLC when my body moisturiser isn't enough.I can definitely see this product becoming a winter staple.
  26. Beautiful Rich Hand Cream

    Eve

I've been a huge fan of the original L'occitane hand cream. This one has 5% more shea butter and you can definately feel the difference! It is richer, slightly thicker and is incredible moisturizing. Still very similar to the other one in many ways but just a more intense version. I enjoy using this one in winter when my hands tend to feel more dry.
