Brass be gone
Finally, a violet toning masque that actually tones. I am renowned for being fussy, I have tried almost every blonde toning product out there and none quite do the job on my fine, lightened hair. This masque works so well because its thick consistency coats to the hair and sticks to it instead of so many conditioning masques that spread out and absorb. I didn't find that it weighed my hair down or did much in the way of smoothing or softening, but that's what a conditioning masque is for!
  1. Faulty product?

I’m so confused by all these wonderful reviews. I’ve used this masque four or five times now and I’m nearly out of product. It is not at all hydrating, I have to really force it through my hair and it’s still not soft and silky afterwards. It conditions worse than a supermarket brand IMHO and it stains my fingernails!
I can’t help but wonder if there was a faulty brush as I saw there was someone else who also felt it didn’t condition at all. It’s the complete opposite of what I would expect from, and have previously experienced with, a product.

  3. Great treatment

I’m currently going from a warm blonde to more of an ash tone. I bought this and used it once and was truly amazed at how much brassiness it removes from my hair. It has a great smell and you only need a very small amount. I currently also have 2 other products in the range and will be purchasing the other 2 ASAP.
  4. Love this treatment

I bought this in conjunction with the shampoo and leave in treatment and am very impressed. It’s a very vibrant purple but toned my hair beautifully. I didn’t need a lot of product and hair was so shiny afterwards. Looking forward to using the rest of the range.
  5. Perfect masque for blondes!

Very nourishing, strengthening and also tones beautifully. Paired with the shampoos (either) from the same range, your hair will look freshly toned and glowing.
Beautiful deep purple colour that actually makes a difference. I, for one, have fried blonde hair which naturally comes with the bleaching process, and this masque restores and makes my hair feel and look like hair again.
  6. Love this

Trying to grow my hair and keep it in good condition wth foils is hard. I’ve tried a lot of toners to keep the blonde without the brassy/orange. I used this with the Blonde shampoo first and I’m really happy with the results. I definitely will continue to use this range.
  7. Intense & effective

Wow, this stuff is amazing. I have light/medium brown hair which I get highlighted (fouls) every 6 weeks & it tends to go very yellow. My hair is dry so I prefer using a cleansing conditioner than sudsing foaming shampoo (which most purple blonde shampoos are) as they dry my hair out. Most purple conditioners aren’t very effective as they don’t have much pigment but this one has lots of really intense pigment & I only need to leave it on a few minutes to have a big effect in cutting the yellow. It’s expensive but you only need a very small amount. I use it for the fast toning effect rather than the conditioning being the main reason.
  8. Confused!

I am so confused by this mask! I have been a dedicated Kerastase user for many years and their products have completely transformed my hair. I have blonde hair, and I am always left with silky, soft and healthy hair after using my other Kerastase products. I have used this mask for the first time tonight, followed the directions, and I am left with hair that feels completely dehydrated, not silky soft as usual or anything close to the usual finish! I would think using products targeted to my hair type I would get amazing results, but I am left so disappointed! I have been anxiously awaiting the release of this line to Australia aswell. So sad that this hasn't worked out so far, I will try it again to see if I get different results, but my hair has not felt/looked this bad in years! :(
  9. Very strong

I am a hairdresser by trade and a self confessed blonde addict, have been coloring my hair Platinum since I was a teenager, which is a long time!

I am your typical blondie, I hate yellow and aspire to be as clean as a sheet of copy paper, lol

In my time I have tried ALL the anti-yellow, shampoo's treatments, masks, etc, etc.

As a professional, Kerastase is my go-to for hair care and an option for toning blondes whilst caring for our fragile hair has been missing from their offering for a long time, so of course, I had to try the new offering from Kerastase!

There are two shampoos, one fondant, one masque, and a leave in restructuring heat protectant.

They all contain Hyaluronic acid to deeply rehydrate the hair and a gorgeous sweet orange fragrance.

I have been using the bain Ultra violet shampoo and mask once a week, as it is highly pigmented and very strong.

This knocked the gold tones right out of my hair, I leave the shampoo on for a minute and the mask for three, but as it so strong I would start slowly so as not to overtone the hair.

Once you have reached your desired tone you can maintain with the mask alone and use the other shampoo, Bain Lumiere, a lightweight hydrating shampoo for blondes.

Overall, I think this is a great range that caters to all blondes, ombre, highlights or full platinum.
