One trend I think we’ve all been trying to master lately is the look of an easy, sleek, bouncy blowout at home. Those who have been salon-deprived for far too long will know what I mean.
How to add volume to hair:
There are three bona fide ways to add volume to your hair: your hair care, the way you style and dry your hair and the hair volume products you use in it after styling.
Switching to lightweight, volumizing shampoos, conditioners and scalp care products can really help your hair gain some serious lift. These formulas keep your hair hydrated and won’t weigh it down, making it easy to boost.
When styling, brush back your hair and blow dry your hair upside down. Otherwise, switch to one of our volumizing hot brushes for the best at home blow out.
Finally, there are plenty of volumising and texturising sprays, pomades and powders you can add to your hair to give your hair magnificent volume.
So, now you know the basics, this routine will show you how you can incorporate these techniques into a full on volume routine.
Step 1: Scalp Scrub
Massage a walnut-sized amount of the R+Co Crown Scalp Scrub into the entire scalp until you feel the exfoliants fully dissolve. Rinse thoroughly. Hair will feel shiny and royally clean.
This purifying and soothing scrub will detox, cleanse and re-balance your scalp. It’s excellent for sensitive or oily scalps or anyone looking for a clean, rebalanced scalp and shiny, healthy hair. R+Co Crown Scalp Scrub is also Vegan and Cruelty-Free.
Step 2: Perfect Hair Masque
Follow with the R+Co Television Perfect Hair Masque. Work it through wet hair focusing on the ends. Leave on for 2-5 minutes and rinse. Transform dry, styled and processed hair into camera-worthy perfection.
This hair masque dramatically improves elasticity and manageability for all hair types while conditioning, deeply replenishing and fighting frizz. R+Co Television Perfect Hair Masque is good for anyone who wants all the qualities of beautiful, healthy, camera-ready hair with an added boost of lasting nourishment and shine in minutes.
Step 3: The best at home wet-to-dry blowout
Section the hair starting at the bottom. Then, set the Hot Tools Black Gold Volumiser to the highest setting to ensure a quick blow dry. Brush each section starting at the roots and gliding down to the ends, repeat till the section is dry, moving in sections up the head.
Step 4: Fringe focus
After starting at the bottom, I like to move to the front fringe area to make sure my hairline dries perfectly. Take a section over the desired parting, over direct the hair forward and wrap it around the barrel and hold for 5-7 seconds again. Repeat till the section is dry.
Step 5: Hair gloss
To finish and to add perfect glossy hair smoothness, finish with a couple of drops of R+Co TWO WAY MIRROR Smoothing Oil. Apply to dry hair from mid-shaft and work downward with a smoothing motion.
Make your hair reflect light with R+Co TWO WAY MIRROR Smoothing Oil. This lightweight, smoothing oil melts into hair leaving strands polished and lustrous without weighing them down. It’s perfect for revitalizing and smoothing all hair types and textures.
