Most Helpful Positive

Good, but not on short hair.

Yasmin

I got this product when I had short (Chin length) hair and it did nothing for me. Since my hair has grown longer the curls are more defined and it's easier to use. Definitely not for short hair.

Most Helpful Criticism

Not bad, prefer my GHD soft curl tong

Chloe B

I used this wand for a full year before committing to buying the GHD soft curl tong 32mm. Its good, It smooths out all the frizz and delivers a nice soft loose wave. I do prefer to use the tong as I feel it controls the wave better and you achieve a longer lasting result. WARNING: You need to use the glove that comes with it, otherwise you can get some nasty finger burns... ouch!!

I tried this out but much prefer the creative wand, maybe just my hair and styling didn't suit!

  4. Gimmicky Design

    Juliet

You do not need an oval shaped wand to create waves, it can be done easily with a regular curling wand. The shape of this wand leaves hair with visible dents even when brushed out. It heats up quickly and the barrel disperses heat evenly like all other GHD stylers, but this shape is just totally useless.
  5. Disappointment

    Ana

I prefer the GHD Creative Curl Wand over this. The barrel is an awkward shape which makes it difficult to create nice waves.
  6. difficult to use

    Nicole

find the thickness of the barrel difficult to use. find it easier getting waves using a hair straighter instead.
  7. Weird shape

    KAREN

Bought this on impulse and I wish I didn't. I didn't expect the barrel to be so difficult to work with. It's not round but like a flat paddle. Not sure how to get even waves and curls from it. My hair is medium, straight and fine. Costly mistake. I should've stuck to the standard curl tong :(
