Timeless classic

I started using this years ago (over 20 years) when it was called Creme Tomate. I loved it then and love it now. It is NOT going to be for everyone. I have quite dry (English - pale, easy to burn) skin, not a flaky dry - just the kind of skin that can't hold moisture; especially as we transition from summer to winter. I like the feeling of a moisturiser on my skin. This product is thick. You really need to warm it between your fingers and almost press into your face (my skin is ageing so I don't want to drag it across my face). It will leave a shine for about 30 mins maybe - but as I said, I press this into my face and leave it at that. Again, this suits me. I do not wear a heap of make-up, so I like the feeling of this sitting on my face. I notice many people comment on the fragrance - this does not bother me at all. I am actually quite fond of it.

So to sum it up: It is a heavy moisturiser. If you don't like an oily, heavy feel, this is prob not for you. It has a strong-ish scent (that I like).

bit thick for me

Georgia

I am a long-time fan of Ella Bache moisturisers, but some months ago when my usual Creme Jojoba wasn't available, an EB salon consultant suggested I try Creme Tomate, which I did. Maybe it just wasn't right for my skin (combination with dry cheeks) but it just seemed very sticky and thick and could barely spread it over my face. It might be Ok as a treatment cream for some red areas, but not as an all over moisturiser, at least not for me.

this moisturiser is terrific. It’s hydrating and brightening and it was used all over my face including my T zone and it wasn’t too oily. I will buy this- it’s really good.
  2. Amazing for me!

This moisturiser is amazing, its so hydrating and makes my skin feel so nice and smooth. The only critique I have is that its INCREDIBLY thick and a little goes a long way. But thats not too bad for me because one container lasts me a while.

Was hoping to soothe my damaged dry skin , unfortunately woke up with even drier skin and breakout. Full of alcohol and fragrance which is no good .
  5. Love it

It has thick consistency so you need only a little amount and massage it in. Very nourishing and protecting. Smells amazing too. Skin feels softer.

  7. Very thick

    Brooke

My skin is super dry in winter, this moisturiser was recommended to me by the Ella Baché therapist to assist with that. It is pretty thick, super hydrating but as another review has stated the smell can be a bit overwhelming.
  8. Thick and good

Thick but very good moisturiser, perfect for winter
  9. A good cream for winter

    claire

This is a really good cream - vey rich and hydrating! This Cream is amazing for when you skin gets that little extra dry in winter. It leaves your face glowing and feeling amazing.

In the hotter Months I use 3 times a week and other cream on the other days. In winter I use 7 nights. Truly amazing for any skin type
  10. My winter day moisturiser

    Carly

Love this as my moisturiser for daytime in winter when my skin is a bit dull and meh. Always glows up my face and just makes it look brighter and more alive again
  11. Perfect for sensitive prone to redness skin

    Nats

I have used this cream for over 10 years and highly recommend that anyone who suffers from redness or sensitive skin buy this cream. This is my daily face cream. I have also suffered from rosacea in recent years and this does not irritate my skin. It has a lovely smell. I don’t think it’s over powering at all. And once you apply the smell vanishes anyway. It’s a rich cream but not tacky or heavy o...

  12. Nice cream but very strong smell

    Holly

This is a really good cream - vey rich and hydrating! My only con is that it has a very strong smell (it literally smells like tomatoes). The cream itself though is very good
