I firmly believe that I have the best job in the world.
Every day, I get to smell, touch and test the latest in beauty — and then take selfies with it.
Whether it’s a clever new formulation or a viral TikTok product, there truly is never a dull moment.
If this is our first time meeting, hi! I’m Jas, Adore’s new Beauty Editor.
I joined the team just over two months ago. Before then, beauty was a space I dipped in and out of but mostly admired from over the fence in fashion land.
There are three things you’ll always find on me: lip balm, a brow pencil and, of course, SPF.
You’ll be hearing from me regularly on Beauty IQ where I’ll be sharing no-BS reviews, helping you decipher what’s worth your money (and what’s not).
On that note, even though beauty writers are *blessed* with a never-ending supply of samples, there are some products I’ll gladly spend my money on.
Keep reading to see what I bought in my first staff order.
1. Lancôme Renergie H.C.F. Triple Serum.

Fast facts:
Dermatologist-tested.
Suitable for all skin types including sensitive.
Improves skin quality, hydration and dullness.
Three serums that melt into one on application.
Targets fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots and uneven tone.
Why I added it to cart:
After reading countless reviews — including our very own Senior Editor,
Sadaf’s — I decided to take the plunge and invest in the Lancôme Renergie serum.
And let me just say, she’s worth the splurge.
Formulated with hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C + niacinamide and ferulic acid, the supercharged serum makes my skin look and feel amazing.
The texture is luxurious and I love that I get the benefits of the three ingredients in just one pump.
2. IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream SPF50.

Fast facts:
Full but natural-looking coverage.
Conceals dark spots and imperfections.
Colour-corrects pigmentation and redness.
Foundation, serum, primer and SPF50 in one.
Developed in conjunction with plastic surgeons and dermatologists.
Why I added it to cart:
A quick scan of Beauty IQ and the answer to why I added this baby to cart is clear: it's simply the best.
Not only do AB staffers love it, the people do, too. With 165+ reviews to date, the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream is packed with super ingredients for the ultimate your-skin-but-better glow-up.
There’s collagen which helps smooth and firm skin, peptides which helps minimise fine lines, and niacin which strengthens the skin barrier and evens tone.
Need I say more?
3. Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Concealer.

Fast facts:
Long-wearing concealer.
Breathable matte finish and medium-to-full coverage.
Precision tip for targeted application and flat sides for all-over coverage.
Infused with glycerin, moringa, rose and water lily for hydrated and smooth skin.
Why I added it to cart:
This is another
fan favourite that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on.
The Lancome Teint Idole Concealer is supercharged with skincare ingredients that sink into the skin while giving a smooth medium-to-full coverage — the perfect formulation for my dry skin as it doesn’t cake or look patchy.
It’s also super versatile. I’ll often blend the concealer all over my face in place of foundation for a more subtle, no-makeup makeup look.
4. Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-Balm.

Fast facts:
Keeps lips lush and soft.
Can be used to nourish cuticles and heal wounds.
Keeps skin hydrated and locks in nourishment where it is needed.
Made from ultra-pure medical-grade lanolin with coconut oil and coconut milk that’s rich in antioxidants.
Why I added it to cart:
Lip balm is a non-negotiable in my beauty kit. At any given time I have at least three or four on the go between my handbag, bedside table and car.
And when it comes to long-lasting hydration, Lanolips takes the lead.
I opted for the Coconutter edition after our podcast co-host Hannah Furst recommended it and have been loving it sick.
It adds the most beautiful sheen when applied over lipstick and/or a lip pencil without being too sticky.
Plus, it has the nicest, most subtle coconut scent that tastes just as good as it smells.
5. Huda Beauty Cheeky Tint Blush Stick.

Fast facts:
Cruelty-free and vegan.
Delivers 9 hours of hydration and colour.
Available in five shades to suit all skin tones.
Melts into the skin, glides like a dream and blends seamlessly.
Infused with moisturising lychee extract and smoothing Vitamin E.
Dewy finish that’s buildable and can be mixed, matched and layered.
Why I added it to cart:
Cream blush is having a real moment right now, both in beauty and my makeup bag.
I added the Huda Beauty Cheeky Tint Blush Stick in Coral Cutie to cart after seeing it all over my
TikTok feed.
I’m obsessed with the dewy finish it gives, and how buildable it is for fuller glam looks.
I’ve been layering it with my other powder blushes to enhance their sheen, and swiping it across my lips and eyelids on minimal makeup days when I want a more natural, glowy look.
Next on my wish list are Perky Peach and Rebel Red — watch this space.
6. Adore Beauty Large Cosmetic Bag.

Fast facts:
Chic travel-friendly design.
Makeup bag perfect for travel and storage.
Available in multiple sizes and blush pink, too.
Made from durable TPU and trimmed with vegan leather.
Tinted TPU lets you see what’s inside while still keeping things looking neat and tidy.
Why I added it to cart:
This is truly the product I didn’t know I needed until I bought it.
As a quintessential Virgo (aka an organisational freak), nothing makes me happier than life hacks that make things easier. And more aesthetically pleasing, of course.
So this handy makeup travel bag was a no-brainer.
I’m often travelling interstate to see family in NSW and QLD, so the cosmetic bag’s handy design and size make it the perfect travel companion.
It houses all of my go-to makeup and skincare products with room for my partner’s travel essentials, too. (Although, surprise, his collection is a lot smaller than mine.)
Plus, I love that it has a tinted window so I know what’s in there without having to dig for it.
