We Launched Our Own Affordable Makeup Line! Here’s Everything You Need to Know
I am the Content Manager here at Adore Beauty. I have been a makeup artist for over 6 years now and love all things beauty.
For those of you that don’t know, Adore Beauty has its own brand called AB LAB.
After being at the forefront of beauty for over 25 years, Adore Beauty decided to take all their beauty knowledge and find what you, our beauty community, were actually wanting and looking for in your beauty routines, and just like that, AB LAB was born.
Now I’m sure if you’ve heard of AB LAB then you’re probably well acquainted with the best-selling AB LAB by Adore Beauty Dewy-C SPF50+ Facial Sun Milk 75mL or the AB LAB by Adore Beauty Dewy-C Enzymatic Cleansing Balm 100ml with Vitamin C and Fruit Enzymes but today is an exciting day because I finally get to share that AB LAB have launched their very own makeup products (YAY).
I have obviously known about this project for a long time and even got to test samples down at Adore Beauty HQ, so getting to play with these live in the flesh is super exciting…and kind of nerve-racking.
Being a makeup artist I can be a super fussy critic, so with that being said, let me give you my honest review on AB LAB's latest makeup line.
AB LAB by Adore Beauty HA Plump Lip & Cheek Multistick.
What:
First up in the cheeks routine is the Lip & Cheek multistick; a cream lip and cheek stick that adds the perfect amount of perk to any area of the face.
Here's some fast facts below before sharing my thoughts on the product:
- A multi-use stick made for the lips and cheeks.
- Has a creamy texture with a satin finish and buildable colour.
- Infused with hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil and Australian native botanicals such as wattleseed and kangaroo paw flower extracts.

- Great for on-the-go makeup touchups.

My AB LAB by Adore Beauty HA Plump Lip & Cheek Multistick review:
My first impressions of this product were that the packaging was lightweight making it a perfect contender to travel with or pop in your handbag for on-the-go makeup touchups.
There was no real scent that I could detect and the texture of the product was buttery soft.
How to use AB LAB by Adore Beauty HA Plump Lip & Cheek Multistick?
I opted for blotting the cream stick straight onto my cheeks (brave, I know) and carefully blended it out using a soft bristle kabuki brush.
I can honestly say that it blended out like a dream, leaving my skin with a natural, velvet finish that would be suitable for all skin types.
It provides a decent wash of colour but I wouldn’t be intimidated by its cream formula as it is a very forgiving product and can build easily if you are after more intensity on the cheek.
I used shades Spice and Bitten and really enjoyed the way these played together.
2. AB LAB by Adore Beauty HA Plump Hydrating Lip Oil.
What:
On to lips, I know I’m giving away a spoiler but I cannot believe how much I LOVED this product.
Before I dive into writing a love letter about this oil, let me give you the basic rundown on the product:
- Leaves lips smooth, soft and glossy with a wearable tint.
- Moisturises and hydrates lips.
- Provides plumping hydration.
- Helps to prevent lips from drying.
- Enriched with hyaluronic acid and vitamin E.
- Infused with Australian native Wattleseed and Kangaroo Paw Flower extracts.
- Contains a moisturising and nourishing blend of castor seed, jojoba and avocado oil.
- Vegan & cruelty-free.
- Free from Parabens, SLS / SLES sulphates, GMOs and mineral oils.
My AB LAB by Adore Beauty HA Plump Hydrating Lip Oil review:
I am really fussy about lip products so I’m sure you can appreciate that I was apprehensive to try this, however, I can genuinely say I love this lip oil (especially when it’s sitting at a $25 price point).
It has a very subtle sweet fragrance to it (but also kind of gourmand?) that you smell briefly upon application but it gently fades away.
It also leaves the lips with an effortless sheen that will NOT give you that sticky feeling (hair out and windy weather-approved).
The best part is how nourished my lips felt after wearing it which is thanks to the myriad of skin-loving ingredients worked into this formula.
It’s the perfect lip oil to have in your handbag or by your work station throughout the day and has quickly become the lip product I’m always reaching for.
3. AB LAB by Adore Beauty HA Plump Gloss-Balm.
What:
Whilst we are on the topic of lips, let’s now move on to the HA Plump gloss-balm.
I was a bit confused by the gloss-balm name before trying it. Was it a gloss…or a balm?!
However, once I was able to try it out for myself, I soon realised that it is the PERFECT description for this product.
Picture your all time FAVE pigmented lip gloss and your ride or die lip balm having a love child, and that is exactly what the HA Plump Gloss-Balm is.

My AB LAB by Adore Beauty HA Plump Gloss-Balm review:
This gloss-balm combo felt very comfortable once applied, providing the perfect flush of colour whilst leaving the lips feeling super hydrated.
I would recommend this for anyone that is a traditional lipstick lover and wants an extra hit of hydration OR someone that is a lip balm lover and wants to dip their toes into the pigmented lipstick world.
There is a soft berry fragrance that dissipates after you’ve applied it to your lips (so we don’t need to worry about being overpowered by strong scents throughout the day).
I do have to mention the hardworking formulation that sits behind this powerhouse product, so I’m going to pop a little cheat sheet down below with each ingredient and how you can expect it to nourish your pout:
HYALURONIC ACID: Works to provide lips with plumping hydration.
AVOCADO OIL: Works to soften lips and helps maintain hydration.
JOJOBA OIL: Works to nourish smooths and softens lips.
CASTOR SEED OIL: Promotes lip hydration and helps to prevent water loss.

What:
As a makeup artist I get SO many questions around what primers I recommend and which ones can help your makeup last longer.

This primer has a radiant finish but would be suitable for most skin types that are after a healthy glowing finish to the skin.
I sometimes like to wear this primer on its own as it has a very subtle peach reflect that helps skin really glow.
It's super lightweight, making it perfect for travel and like all AB LAB products, it has an extremely impressive ingredient list.
An added bonus in this formulation has the the inclusion of mica, a light-reflecting particle that helps give the skin a healthy radiant glow, what more could you want?!
AB LAB by Adore Beauty Dewy-C Luminous Face Mist & Setting Spray.
What:
Last but most certainly not least, we have the AB LAB by Adore Beauty Dewy-C Luminous Face Mist & Setting Spray.
I have literally given anyone that will listen, a TED Talk on this product because it is just so effortlessly refreshing on the skin..

My AB LAB by Adore Beauty Dewy-C Luminous Face Mist & Setting Spray review:
The fresh cucumber like scent feels like a breath of fresh air.
I like to apply this to my makeup once fully done, or sometimes I just spritz it on bare skin throughout the day to give me a gentle hit of hydration.
Not only does this feel amazing on the skin, but it is intentionally designed with skin loving ingredients like glycerin, kakadu plum extract, hibiscus sabdariffa extract as well as strawberry, mango and kiwi fruit extract.
It leaves a subtle dewy finish to the skin and can be used anytime throughout the day or night.
Final Verdict...
I really do love this range of products.
Not only are they affordable but they are multi-functional and would be a really valuable addition to anyone’s makeup kit, from beauty newbie all the way through to beauty aficionado.
