So, you're thinking about finally taking the plunge and buying a Dyson Supersonic, Dyson Airwrap or Dyson Corrale straightener.
First up, congrats. It's a BIG deal. Massive.
But if you have some reservations about spending upwards of $500 on a hair styling tool, you're not alone.
Most of us know Dyson as the clever brand that makes incredible vacuums and appliances.
For anyone new here, Dyson also have three high-tech hair tools:
As an ex-hairdresser who also appreciates a bargain hair product, I wish I could lie and say the Dyson hair tools aren't great.
But spoiler alert, they're bloody brilliant.
*Cue my poor bank account screaming.
OK, but if you're only going to buy one, which of these three game-changing Dyson hair tools will give you best bang for buck, and suit your beauty routine and hair concerns?
Great question! I've answered all your Dyson hair tool questions in this YouTube video below.
Let's be real, the Dyson price tags aren't in everyone's budgets.
But are you someone who styles their hair frequently, is looking for a way to make hair styling faster and easier, or looks for technology to maintain healthy hair long term (or all of the above)?
Then buying a Dyson AirWrap, Dyson hair dryer and/or Dyson straightener is an investment purchase.
Keep scrolling for your ultimate guide to Dyson tools (and which one's right for you).

1. Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer.

What:
Price: $599.
Comes with: Five magnetic Dyson hair dryer attachments.
  • Dyson Supersonic styling concentrator: Suitable for styling with all hair types.
  • Dyson Supersonic diffuser: Best for wavy, curly and coily hair types.
  • Dyson Supersonic wide-tooth comb: Can use to create shape and volume for curly and coily hair types.
  • Dyson Supersonic gentle air attachment: Best for all hair types, but designed for those with fine hair, thinning hair and sensitive scalps.
  • Dyson Supersonic flyaway attachment: Smooths frizz and flyaways on dry hair, best for straight, wavy and curly hair types.
Key Dyson Supersonic features:
  • Three speed settings thanks to the lightweight, powerful motor for fast styling.
  • Four heat settings: 28°C, 60°C, 80°C and 100°C, plus a cool shot button.
  • Measures temperature 40 times per second to minimise heat damage.
  • Really easy to use and clean, and also comes with a two-year warranty.

The Dyson Supersonic is best for...
If you have pretty unproblematic, wash and wear hair you air dry or only blow dry once a week, I'd say the Supersonic is a nice-to-have luxury if you want to treat yourself.
But for anyone who blow dries their hair often, has fine, thin hair or a sensitive scalp, has naturally thicker or coarser hair prone to frizz, or wants to embrace their natural curls, the Dyson hair dryer is worth the money.
The Dyson diffuser attachment is honestly one of the best diffusers I've used in the salon. It defines curls, without frizz, which alone is worth the investment.
Plus, the new flyaway attachment is pretty flipping incredible.
Maybe it's a pipe dream, but if you're reading this Dyson, the only con in my eyes is that I wish the Dyson hair dryer was cordless.

2. Dyson Corrale Hair Straightener.

What:
Price: $699.
Comes with:
The Dyson Corrale set includes a magnetic 360° charging cable, a charging dock and a heat-resistant travel pouch. And a two-year warranty.
Key Dyson Corrale features:
  • Flexible, ultra-thin plates engineered to the width of human hair and made from a manganese copper alloy gather hair together for more effective styling with less passes.
  • You can use the Corrale cordless for up to 30 minutes with the equivalent performance of a corded straightener, or plug in and use corded.
  • A slight downside is it takes 70 minutes to charge back to full - kind of like when your phone dies and you need to let it charge before you can use it unplugged again.
  • Three precise heat settings of 165°C, 185°C and 210°C. A sensor checks and adjusts the temperature of the plates 100 times a second!
  • Corrale can be put in a flight mode that disconnects the battery. It also has universal voltage so you can charge it wherever you are.
Watch how AB staffer Hannah uses the Dyson hair straightener in this video below.
The Dyson Corrale is best for...
Do you spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on colouring services every year?
Do you straighten or style your hair every single day or week?
Do you have very dry and damaged hair, or thicker, coarser hair that takes a long time to straighten?
Do you want to continue styling your hair often, while preventing damage and helping it grow healthily?
If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, a Dyson hair straightener will be your best investment.
Why? Because it's going to help keep your hair in the best possible condition it can be while still allowing you to style it how you wish.

3. Dyson AirWrap.

What:
Price: $899.
Comes with:
A heat-proof mat, storage case, a two-year warranty and seven Dyson AirWrap attachments.
  • Pre-styling dryer: A smaller version of Dyson’s Supersonic hair dryer.
  • Soft smoothing brush: Designed with fine hair in mind, this attachment provides a smooth finish.
  • Firm smoothing brush: Designed with thick hair in mind, this attachment provides a straight finish.
  • 40mm barrel: Perfect for loose curls or beach waves.
  • 30mm barrel: If you want voluminous curls, this attachment will become your new BFF.
  • Round volumising brush: Reach for this attachment if you’re after a big, bouncy blowout that looks like you’ve walked out of the salon.
  • New Cool Tip on curling barrels to switch the direction of air while you style
Key Dyson AirWrap features:
  • An all-in-one tool to curl, wave, smooth and blow dry hair, that also causes less damage while doing so.
  • Coanda effect technology uses high-speed air to create a cylinder-like vortex that pulls hair towards the attachments for styling using less heat.
  • Just like the incredible Supersonic, the AirWrap also checks the temperature 40 times per second to ensure it stays at 150°C.
  • You can use the AirWrap on fresh damp hair, or slightly dampen dry hair using a heat protectant to refresh a two or three-day-old style.
  • Six different attachments can be used to create multiple styles.
We highly recommend watching this Dyson AirWrap tutorial YouTube video below to see the versatile hair tool in action.
The Dyson AirWrap is best for...
If you're only going to buy one Dyson tool, make it the AirWrap.
For the person who wants to be able to curl, wave, blow dry, smooth and semi-straighten hair, the AirWrap is the best bang for buck.
My personal favourite attachment is the round brush. It's so good at giving hair a blow wave finish with volume and body, I could kiss it.
It's not without its downsides, though.
One of the most important things to consider when buying a Dyson AirWrap is whether it will work well with your lifestyle and haircare routine.
Are you a very low maintenance beauty person? The AirWrap might not be for you.
Otherwise, allow me to chant 'one of us, one of us!'.
But also know, learning how to use the Dyson AirWrap involves trial and error.
It probably took me a good four to six weeks to learn the best ways to style my shorter, fine hair with the tool.
You might also find the Dyson Airwrap Complete Long Multi-Styler Fuchsia Nickelis easier to style with if you have longer hair.

And that is your recap of the different Dyson hair products!
Hopefully, you should now have a good idea of whether the Dyson AirWrap, Dyson Supersonic and/or Dyson Corrale hair straightener will suit you best.
All that's left to do is to add it to your cart!
P.S. You can also get the limited edition Mother's Day fuchsia colours, but not for long!
