In Partnership With Davines.
I've been colouring my hair for over a decade (currently deep in my burgundy era). And over the last 10 years there's one thing I've always struggled with; trying to strike that perfect balance between glossy, luxe-looking colour with hair that still feels soft and healthy. No easy feat.
I was recently tasked with road testing the new
Davines Beautiful Things Leave In Mask and let's just say, I think they may have found that perfect balance. My hair looks freshly coloured, feels ridiculously soft and somehow still behaves itself in humidity.
A rare win for those of us who refuse to give up either shine or health. Here's everything you need to know about the new formula.

Let's start with the texture. It's more of a silky, milky cream than a heavy mask. It glides effortlessly through damp strands without leaving my roots coated or feeling greasy.
As for the scent... it hooked me in right away. It's botanical (thanks to a stacked ingredient list) and spa-like (I mean this in the best way). It’s the kind of fragrance that makes you pause for a second in the bathroom and think, “Okay, this feels a bit fancy.”
I usually apply it in damp strands before blow drying and it melts right it. There is no stiffness or weird film. I've noticed it helps with tangles and frizz, so my mid-lengths and ends look polished. They also feel fortified and strong - which isn't always a given with coloured strands.
Speaking of coloured strands, this beauty is specifically designed to support colour-treated locks and all thar comes with it. It's perfect if you push your hair a little too hard with dye, heat or environmental aggressors (aka general chaos).
The formula is dosed with vegan collagen and biomimetic botanical filler, which work in tandem to boost resilience, lock in some (much-needed) moisture and enhance colour.

Since I've added this to my routine, I’ve noticed my dark red hue stays looking bright and fresh a little longer than it typically would.
Couple that colour vibrancy with the soft, swishy finish and healthier appearance. Davines are onto a winner.
If you have coloured hair (especially red or copper tones) this feels like an easy insurance policy to keeping things looking bright, shiny and expensive-looking.
