PSA: This Easy 'Brow Freeze' Hack Completely Changed How I Do My Eyebrows

Is This Sell-Out 'Brow Freeze' Product Worth the Hype? Here's Our Review.

When Anastasia Beverly Hills first launched on Adore Beauty in January 2021, the one question everyone was asking around the office was:

Should I buy Brow Freeze?

My answer was yes.

And I wanted to tell you the same thing, but before I could even write 'THIS PRODUCT IS THE TITS', Brow Freeze sold out. Then it sold out again.

Now, it's one of our best-selling makeup products, and you may have seen it in your TikTok or Instagram feeds.

But if you've wondered how to use it - because it can go very wrong - a hack I saw from beauty expert and Beauty IQ contributor Amelia Singson Kemp explains everything.

How to Use Brow Freeze.

The one frustration I used to have using Brow Freeze was how gunk would accumulate in the product and on the lid every time you went to apply it with your spoolie.

Then I saw Amelia post a Reel showing her Brow Freeze tutorial, and I felt a bit silly.

Rather than dipping a brow brush spoolie into the product and transferring other brow products and hairs into the pot, she suggests using the dedicated brow freeze applicator.

"The spatula is key here. Use it to scoop out the wax, wipe it on to your brows and then use your spoolie to brush them," she says.

"No more messy, skanky-looking pot and spoolie." Genius.

In even better news, you can now buy Brow Freeze and the all-important spatula spoolie brush in an Adore Beauty bundle with a 15% discount!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze with Applicator Bundle not only saves you time while you shop, but you can shout yourself a couple of coffees as a reward for the tidy $10 saving.

I for one really wish I'd known about this before my Brow Freeze pot started resembling the kind of thing you'd find on the bottom of someone's shoe.

What Is Anastasia Brow Freeze?

If you're reading this and wondering what this brow freeze thing is, let's recap!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze is a unique clear brow gel/wax/jelly hybrid that'll keep your eyebrows brushed up and looking fluffy for hours.

The versatile colourless styling wax gives brows extreme hold, but can be used in a bunch of different ways to achieve different brow shapes and styles.

For example, Brow Freeze can be used on its own in place of a clear brow gel or underneath other brow products to thicken thin brows before filling in.

But what this product is probably best known for (and why it keeps selling out) is its ability to deliver the brow lamination trend, without actually having to get your brows laminated.

My Brow Freeze Review.

Take it from someone who had their eyebrows laminated and regretted it. Using Brow Freeze is a much better idea. I've honestly never tried anything like it.

The reason this product is all over TikTok and Instagram is because you can use it to give you the full, brushed up brow lamination look... and then you can wash it off.

Personally, I like using Brow Freeze in place of a clear brow gel for hold with a matte, non-crunchy finish.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of how Brow Freeze gives body and hold to my natural brows.

As for how to use it: Don't do what I did and dunk your spoolie (a naked mascara wand) into the clear gel unless you want your brows to look like you glued them on.

You only need the tiniest amount for fluffy brows that stay up ALL DAY, without making them look too glossy or crunchy.

I brush the product through my eyebrows in upwards and outwards motions, starting in the middle of the brow where I need the most hold.

You can see me talking about how I use Brow Freeze in my What's In My Makeup Bag chat on YouTube below. You'll also see how manky my pot is looking...

Want that hectic laminated brow look? Easy.

Once you're happy with the shape, press your brows down using the handle of your spoolie or your finger to set the product flat against your skin.

Everyone else, you're done!

You can also fill in any sparse gaps in your brows over the top of Brow Freeze with your chosen eyebrow pencil, pomade or gel.

My final verdict on Brow Freeze? I will 10/10 be repurchasing in my next staff order.

That is, unless it sells out again. Ugh.
