great product Review by Jogroen

I love Jane Iredale pure pressed minerals. It gives medium coverage, and I love it has spf in it. My skin loves it also.

I adore this product! I am 42 with sensitive skin and it is one of the very few products that don't irritate my skin. It gives my complexion a beautiful fine appearance. However, this product is not a necessity in my beauty regime, but more of a luxury. I also use the loose powder in the same colour for every day use. The pressed powder is purely for portability when I'm going out. And I wouldn't recommend it as your first choice due to it's price. The loose powder is significantly cheaper and does the same job.

I tried this foundtaion after using the Ultraceuticals one first and being disappointed with its 'staying power'. The Jane Iredale foundation certainly stays put for much longer during the day, but given that I have an oily T-zone, I found it works much better when used over a primer or oil control gel such as Dermadoctor's 'Tease zone'. My only two complaints were the price, a little on the expensive side, though it does last me about 2-3 months using it every day. Also, the packaging doesn't stand up to wear and tear very well and the gold covering peels off in places after a week or so of being in your bag. Definitely don't use it with the sponge it comes with - goes on much better if you build it up in layers with a kabuki brush. It covers slight imperfections well, but you'll still need a concealer under your eyes and for any red scars, such as acne. The hardest decision when first buying is picking a colour, and this could be what puts people off from trying it (given you don't want to get it wrong at that price!). You need to first work out if you have 'cool' or 'warm' toned skin: Cool: Light beige, Natural, honey bronze. Warm: Warm silk, warm sienna, Amber, Golden glow The rest of the colours are 'neutral' and would suit either skin tone. Check out this if you're unsure: http://www.mineral-makeup-reviews.com/Cool-or-Warm-Skin-Tone.html Great product overall. I have bought it several times and I will buy it again.

This brand has a great range of shades which are divided into warm, neutral and cool shades-I tried Bisque, which suited my fair skin quite well and balanced out my natural pink/ruddy undertones. The product gives a very good, easily buildable coverage without looking like anything is on your face at all, but does need to be 'buffed' into the skin with a good, solid brush for best results. If applied properly it lasts all day without a need for touch-ups. Though it's more expensive than other brands a little goes a long way so it's certainly worth the splurge.
