Hismile V34 Reviews: Does This Viral Purple Shampoo for Your Teeth Actually Work?

I’ve had my fair share of dental and orthodontic work, from a few months in an expander, to three years of braces and 12 months of Invisalign.

While I’ve always wanted to brighten my smile, I just haven’t been able to bring myself to sit in the dreaded plastic chair for hours on end.

So, when I was presented with the opportunity to try out the Hismile V34 Colour Corrector for myself at home, I jumped at the chance. 

If, like me, you spend hours (read: all of your spare time) scrolling through TikTok, it’s highly likely you’ve seen an ad or two thousand for this product.

With a similar concept to purple shampoo, the Hismile V34 Colour Corrector promises to neutralise yellow tones, whiten your teeth, and reduce yellow stains. 

But does it actually work? Let's find out...

What Is the Hismile V34 Colour Corrector?

Retailing for just $35, the Hismile V34 Colour Corrector is a non-invasive purple solution that works to: 

• Brighten teeth pretty much instantly. 

• Colour correct by neutralising yellow tones. 

• Make teeth appear whiter in colour. 

This product is the culmination of extensive research into the colour-correction theory that results in brighter and whiter looking teeth.  

In the same way purple shampoos and blonde toning products use violet pigments to counteract brassy tones, this whitening toothpaste solution uses two purple dyes.

When combined, they can neutralise common tooth stains, without leaving a residue behind.

How to Use Hismile V34 Colour Corrector.

If you recoil at the thought of sitting and waiting any longer than five minutes for a whitening treatment to take effect, get this:

Hismile V34 works its magic in just two minutes! 

The instructions recommend applying two pumps of the solution onto a soft bristle toothbrush and gently brushing for two minutes. 

Once your two minutes are up, spit out the remaining solution and rinse your mouth out thoroughly – making sure not to swallow any of the solution.

My Hismile V34 Review.

When reaching for the Hismile V34 Colour Corrector, it’s important to keep in mind that this product is a temporary whitening solution. 

Just like purple shampoo will tide you over in between toning and visits to the hairdresser, this colour corrector is not a permanent or long-lasting teeth whitening option. 

If you’ve tried an at-home whitening system before, it’s likely you’d associate your experience with tingly gums, sensitised teeth and a strong, chemical scent and taste. 

I can’t stress enough just how different the V34 Colour Corrector is to other whitening products on the market. 

For starters, the consistency is quite thin and runny (beware of brushing with a white top on!). 

The purple colour is also highly attractive, see evidence below.

Thankfully, after rinsing your mouth out, your teeth and gums aren’t left feeling gritty or sensitised.

The spearmint flavour also leaves your mouth feeling clean and fresh. 

Secondly, unlike your conventional tube of toothpaste, the Hismile V34 Colour Corrector comes in an airless pump bottle. 

This not only saves you from getting bright purple product everywhere, but it also makes the product easy to slip into your bag for on-the-go whitening.    

I thought the product would be the perfect solution to temporarily brighten my smile on a budget for my friend’s party.

Once photos were taken, and several spicy margs and handfuls of hot chippies were had, the colour correcting properties had worn off and my pearly whites weren’t looking so pearly white anymore.

I continued to use the product each morning after brushing my teeth for seven days.

While it did initially rid my teeth of stubborn stains and discoloration, I noticed the effects wore off every time I'd have something to eat or drink. 

For this reason, this product is perfect for those who might need an instant smile brightener on a night out, or for those only looking for a temporary whitening solution.

Final Verdict…

And now, to answer the burning question; would I recommend the HiSmile V34 Colour Corrector? 

Yes and no.

Rather than having to brush my teeth multiple times a day to see results, I think a more permanent brightening solution would be better suited to my lazy gal lifestyle.

That said, I did enjoy the ease of use and the instant effects that this product provided.

I would recommend Hismile to those of you who are looking for a quick, temporary solution to whitening your teeth.
