Hydating with a colour punch!
I'm not sure what magic Laura Mercier has done with her Creamy Colourbalms, but compared with cheaper products these are more flattering - they don't have a tendency to run but still apply like a thin balm with a lot of slip, but zero tackyness.
They also give a plumped look to the lip - for instance last night I didn't drink enough water and was hanging out under the heater while I slept, so you can imagine the state of my lips! I've been applying the Laura Mercier Creamy Colourbalm in Raspberry Ripple, and it's the perfect shade to add pinky mauve-healthiness to my lips with hydration. I don't need a liner or balm under this.
The finish is somewhere between a satin with a sheen, and the reflectiveness of a gloss, but it does dull throughout the wear.
I get about 3 - 4 hours from this, but it also stains the lips so you look better than what you started out that's for sure! I normally reapply balm more often than that so I'm definitely not complaining.
In all, I really recommend these! I know the "pigmented balm" trend has died down a bit now, but there's a reason it became popular in the first place. I'd definitely recommend you grab a shade that flatters you for daily wear, you'll use it up! Great for winter, great for people who work in air conditioned environments too.
