      Hydating with a colour punch!

      Shannon (Adore Beauty Staff)

My lips are very easily dried out by most lipstick formulas, so it's not often I rate a lip colour product highly. Actually - normally I have to spend a lot more money than this to get something this hydrating with this much of a colour impact.

I'm not sure what magic Laura Mercier has done with her Creamy Colourbalms, but compared with cheaper products these are more flattering - they don't have a tendency to run but still apply like a thin balm with a lot of slip, but zero tackyness.

They also give a plumped look to the lip - for instance last night I didn't drink enough water and was hanging out under the heater while I slept, so you can imagine the state of my lips! I've been applying the Laura Mercier Creamy Colourbalm in Raspberry Ripple, and it's the perfect shade to add pinky mauve-healthiness to my lips with hydration. I don't need a liner or balm under this.

The finish is somewhere between a satin with a sheen, and the reflectiveness of a gloss, but it does dull throughout the wear.

I get about 3 - 4 hours from this, but it also stains the lips so you look better than what you started out that's for sure! I normally reapply balm more often than that so I'm definitely not complaining.

In all, I really recommend these! I know the "pigmented balm" trend has died down a bit now, but there's a reason it became popular in the first place. I'd definitely recommend you grab a shade that flatters you for daily wear, you'll use it up! Great for winter, great for people who work in air conditioned environments too.

      2. An all day lipstick

        Maddy (Adore Beauty Staff)

I love my lip parfait! It is so comfortable to wear and feels like a moisturising lip balm. I have the shade Cinnful which is just darker than my natural lip colour, great for a put together natural look.
