Eczema

Eczema

Do you have inflamed or irritated skin, or having a flare-up of eczema? It's still possible to have a skin routine that will maintain your skin barrier, and help reduce negative outcomes such as swelling, itchiness, scaly skin amongst others. Keeping your skin hydrated can reduce the severity of flare-ups, and for some people can help avoid them altogether.

We've collected our favourite products that we recommend to friends, family and customers who suffer from eczema.

It is so important to avoid harsh soaps and detergents, so try a gentle milky cleanser that locks in moisture. Be sure to use cool or lukewarm water, as hot water can damage the skin's barrier. Do not use a rough cloth for cleansing - we recommend a soft muslin cloth if you need to use one.

If cleansing is too much for your skin, try using a micellar cleanser. Best used on a high-quality cotton pad to remove makeup and the day's impurities, this nifty product tones and cleanses all in one. Don't rub, instead but press the pad against your skin before gently wiping.

Hydrating your skin with a high quality moisturiser is your best bet against eczema flare ups - and there are so many great options out there! French brands such as Bioderma or Uriage specialise in creating products for reactive skin.

Is your hair suffering because of your busy schedule, downright laziness or refusal to go to your hairdresser out of fear of an overzealous trim? We’ve all been there. I’m damn good at maintenance, but even I can’t be bothered leaving a hair mask in for 20 minutes (just washing your hair is enough torture, […]

“What is a lash lift?” was one of the most searched beauty terms on Google last year, and since I’ve been having this treatment for about 2 years now, I figured I’m pretty well equipped to walk you through what the treatment involves. As someone with long, yet super straight lashes, I don’t mean to […]

Usually I’m a big spender when it comes to skincare and makeup (I don’t even want to look at my staff account because I’m scared to know how much I’ve spent in 3 years). So for me to buy a 10-piece brush set for 25 bucks is a little out of the ordinary. I intended […]
