Sigma is known for its visionary brush designs, flawless craftsmanship, and durability. Each Sigma brush is designed for a specific beauty product application. The company uses very special, high-quality materials and manufacturing processes to ensure that every Sigma brush meets exacting criteria.
High-quality fibres: Most Sigma brushes contain soft, synthetic, hypoallergenic SigmaTech or Sigmax fibres, which are made from a thermoplastic polymer. Because these fibres do not readily absorb moisture, the strength and rigidity of the filaments are not affected by liquids. For this reason, Sigma brushes can collect and evenly distribute powder, liquid, or cream products without becoming compromised.
Quality wood handles: The handles for Sigma brushes are made of carefully selected, lightweight, and highly resistant wood from renewable sources. Each handle is sanded and polished to a smooth finish before receiving eight layers of primer and paint.
High-performance ferrules: A ferrule is the metal ring that secures the brush fibres to the handle. All Sigma brush ferrules are made from a proprietary, patented high-performance alloy of zinc and copper, called SigmaAlloy, which is stronger than aluminium or plastic. SigmaAlloy is antimicrobial and corrosion-resistant for maximum durability.
