I have read a few reviews and agree yes, there are bits of roses etc in there. I got sample and then another sample and then I ran out and bought a jar myself. I really enjoy it, its relaxing, smells lovely and my skin and aches and pains disappear after 20 minutes in the tub. Will def repurchase

It exfoliates well and is quite coarse in texture. If you like a more invigorating scrub this will suit you. Its the type of product you'd use once a week not every day. A little goes a long way.
