Who are Penhaligon’s?

William Penhaligon set out from his rural hometown to start a grooming business in London. Originally working as a barber in the hammam, the Turkish baths on Jermyn Street, he was inspired by the billowing fragrances of the baths to create his first fragrance, Hammam Bouquet. He opened a store in the bath selling fragrances and grooming goods, and in no time at all had attracted the attention of kings and queens the world over. Inspired by fine ingredients sourced from all around the world, Penhaligon’s was born, with a fragrance lineage like no other. To this day, you can see the original iconic Penhaligon’s bottle on the entire range, even on the Penhaligon’s miniatures.
