Most Helpful Positive

Perfect for me

Paddy

I have given into my fine textured but a lot of it wavy when short hair and now wear it short and layered. I couldn't live without this stuff. Works best for me by applying very small amount to dry hair and then scrunch with wet hands.

Way too stiff and sticky

Kathryn

I thought I would try this product, and the review made it sound perfect for my fine, abundant hair, but I find it way too sticky and stiff... makes my hair kind of crunchy.. would possibly suit other types of hair though
  1. Texture & body

I am probably not using this as it was intended, but I took inspiration from Zoe FB. I used way too much on my first go - it’s not like the mousse I used to use in the 90’s!! I little 20c blob would be plenty for my short hair.
I chose to blow dry it through as I wanted to ensure I had body in my normally flat roots. I’ve had my curls keratin treated, so my hair wouldn’t really dry very wavy anyway.
So partway through drying I was freaking out as my hair was stringy, flat, moussy looking, a bit Daniel Johns circa 1995.... when it was almost dry I brushed it through with my flat brush and the crunchiness & grip kind of eased off. My fine hair had heaps of body, volume and grip. I was able to quite easily get it straight but with plenty of body, almost a bit of boofiness.
The next day my ends were feeling a bit crunchy so I actually just slightly rinsed the ends of my hair to remove a bit of the product, and re-dried it.... BINGO. Love it. I have a smooth style but with plenty of movement, separation and volume.
So the key is use less than you think you need, and this is not only for wearing your hair curly!
