I've been using this soap as a bit of a base of hand washes, washing detergents, and the like for my dermatitis-prone family.
It obviously doesn't work as well as products laden with brightening agents but it's a good natural base for low tox family essentials.
I found this product to be really high quality - it left my skin feeling really soft and hydrated without needing to use a lot. The packaging is so luxurious, and the limited edition packaging makes it feel like an extra special treat. I find it smells a bit sickly sweet, when I was expecting something a bit more fresh. It’s not an unpleasant scent at all, just not what I expected!
I came across Dr. Bronners as it is an ingredient in a DIY laundry powder recipe I found. My 6 yr old has a skin condition so I’d been trying to cut out nasty chemicals that might irritate her more, and this is the BEST! Great results and easy on the skin - and planet
I love that these soaps are fair trade and made sustainably. If you get easily bored with scents, or want to try out the liquid soaps and get to know the brand more, this is a fab pack to get you introduced :)
I've been test running this for quite a while now. I've used it as a laundry liquid, body wash and a shampoo in a pinch. It works amazingly well as a shampoo and gets your hair very clean, which is not expected due to the amount of oils in it. It also works well washing clothes, and leave a nice woody scent on the clothes. As a body wash though, this is definitely my favourite. I've been using it as a gentle body wash for the aftercare of my healing tattoos (not on fresh tattoos though) and it doesn't sting or dry out the skin at all, which is important.
In regards to the smell, it's mostly just very strong woody sandalwood, not really any jasmine. I do enjoy the smell, but I think next time I repurchase (and I WILL repurchase) I might try one of the other scents.
I love the Dr Bronner’s range and hand sanitising being a teacher is very important to me. This handy pump bottle makes that easy. The lavender smell however I feel is very overpowering. I don’t love the smell of lavender so that also comes into it.
The first time to use this brand of liquid and solid soap was last year when I went to the United States. Liquid and solid soaps are versatile and friendly to sensitive skin. I like lavender best. Highly recommended.
