Perfect! SmoothingIm on to my 2nd Jar of this stuff. It is life changing for me! I suffer from psoriasis and get try patches on my eyelids and face, I put this on and it smooths that area out and i can put makeup on top, it doesn't leave patches irritated or dryer like some silicone heavy primers do. I also use it around my mouth and nose when I've been sick and my skin is dry and flakey. I have never had an issue using with other skincare products or makeup.
If you are over 40 then this is s@%tI have been using this for about 3 years. I cannot leave the house without it. It makes my skin feel so comfortable. I work in air conditioning and without it I leave at the end of the day feeling dry and looking red and irritated. This just calms everything down and makes your skin look amazing. If you are experiencing slip and pilling with your base I would recommend patting it over the top. It will stop you looking oily shiny.
Silicone texture and clogged my poresThis left my skin feeling clogged and dull. Has a silicone/film like finish to it which I personally don’t like
Slippy siliconeThis product feels like rubbing silicone all over my face. It doesn't hydrate my skin and anything I put over the top of it (makeup, suncare etc) slips around or pills. Especially considering the price, give it a miss.
okayI have used HV for a few months, but am not too impressed. The texture is very strange, it spreads unevenly and I don't feel any benefit over my (more comfortable) old moisturizer gel. The pot is also not very friendly to use. Not a bad product per se (no reaction on my sensitive skin), but no must-buy either, there are better options.
Hydrates beautifullyI am in my mid 40”s and have lines around my eyes. This product reduces their appearance and feels amazing on the skin! It is perfect under makeup too.
It’s okMy partner bought this to me. It has a good feel when you apply to the skin. I had finished 1 bottle but didn’t see any difference. So not sure if I’ll buy again because it’s a bit pricey and not seen a difference.
Not sure!Im 32 and have a combination skin. I have tried some of the NIOD products and loving it. But not sure with this one. It gives a nice feel when you put on your face, but after I finished using one bottle I didn’t see any difference, so I didn’t buy again. It’s an expensive product and didn’t work for me.
If you find a better moisturiser, let me know :)If you have dry skin prone to fine lines- then you found your match. This is a heavy duty, but not heavy feeling moisturiser, which leaves your skin literally velvety and smoothed out. I prefer to use it before bed as my last step of the night skincare routine. In the morning, my expression lines are invisible. I'm 32 but I look 25, no joke.
If you want to use it in the morning- go for it- it won't make you shiny. However, the formula does not work well with one of my concealers, so I prefer to use a different moisturiser in the morning.
Not as wonderful as advertisedI thought this was going to solve my dehydration problem (I have super dry skin) and it did nothing of the kind. It just sat on top of my skin and felt More like a primer than a moisturizer. So I definitely don't recommend if you're buying this for hydration. Btw, I tried this for almost 6 weeks.....
It’s ok...I’ve been using The Ordinary products and loving them so I thought I’d give NIOD a go being that it’s the fancy big sister of the ordinary. To be honest I prefer the Ordinary NMF+HA. This feels quite siliconey which is fine but it just doesn’t feel as moisturising. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong. On a positive not it didn’t irritate my skin or clog my pores, it just just a bit meh. I’m sticking with the NMF since it’s 1/8 of the price and better on my skin.
Not hydrating at all...I bought this for my dehydrated skin after reading good reviews, but unfortunately it isn't hydrating at all, but can be used as a primer as it melts into the skin. Makes makeup application easy...
Silky and smoothI am half way through my jar and am living this product. It feels so silky when applied and makes my skin feel feel the same. The smell is a little chemical like but I guess that is the active ingredients and no unnecessary fragrance is a good thing. It does a good job of hydrating and my skin is feeling nicer.
Did not like it.I wanted to find a cruelty-free alternative to my current Clarins moisturiser. This product leaves my skin with a very matte finish which I don't like on my older skin - I prefer a bit of a sheen. It also cannot be worn under foundation as the vaccine doesn't allow it to be absorbed and it just sits on top and looks thick and uneven. I don't think it moisturises all that well either, certainly not as good as my old one. It might be okay in the summer when my skin is naturally more moist. My search continues.
GreatI was a little concerned when my jar of this stuff arrived, as it looked a bit... off (bits stuck to the side of the jar and it looked and smelled a bit claggy). I even took a photo and sent it to the kind folk at Deciem and asked if it looked "normal".
Yup, I was just being paranoid. This is quite a 'natural' looking and smelling product, and looks even a bit home-made. That's OK! It works a treat.
This is a perfect moisturiser for winter, as it soothes and calms dry patches and seals in all the serums and potions you've already added to your skin.
I took a star off for the weird NIOD packaging, which a lot of people have already commented on. The jar packaging looks groovy but is pretty impractical - especially when it comes to NIOD's masks and moisturisers. Oh well, it's still a great product.
Soooo smoooothThis is a lovely product to use! I put it on last (at night), to seal all my other products in. I'm loving it as the weather gets colder.
It glides on and spreads easily as it warms on the skin. I have to resist rubbing it in too much as this can cause it to pill - but it just feels so good! I look forward to using it!
You'll need a little spoon or spatula to get it out if the bottle without dipping your fingers in every time.
Pretty darn goodA fan of the Niod range, this little moisturizer is heavenly. If you can look past the difficult jar dispenser that you have to dig into and the pasty texture, the cream melts into my face even after serums. It hydrates very well. I'm already into my 4th bottle. I have pretty oily skin. I do still wake up with a layer of oil on my face, but I feel that this formula still hydrates my skin a lot better than other moisturizers I've tried.
Great productThis is a fabulous product. I was a little unsure of the texture and whether it would be hydrating enough, but I was blown away with the feel of it on my skin.
I have dry skin and facial oils were actually making it dryer. Apparently my skin was letting the oil moisturise it and wasn’t producing enough natural oils. Since using the Hydration Vaccine I notice an improvement in the natural moisture content of my skin without being oily looking.
Glad I bought 2.
Great for combination/oily skinI have combination to oily skin with mild rosacea on my nose, I don't get any breakouts or sensitivity when using NIOD Hydration Vaccine. It looks like thick Manuka honey in the bottle, but it sinks in the skin very quickly into a satin smooth finish makes it a perfect primer prior to sunscreen/foundation application. It makes the open pores on my nose almost gone, my skin feels hydrated and ultra-soft all day. If you have oily skin, this could be your new best friend in the fight against oily shine on your face throughout the day.
Perfect product for meNIOD Surface Hydrating Vaccine is a light, non-greasy and unscented moisturiser where a little goes a very long way. In using this product I have found my skin to be more alive and brighter even after a short period of time. NIOD Surface Hydrating Vaccine is light to the touch and is absorbed into the skin. My skin feels firmer and yet more hydrated. As someone with sensitive skin that tends to oily and yet is also prone to dryness and redness, this is the perfect product for me. Will buy again and highly recommend this product.
Silky smooth moisturiserI started using this NIOD Hydration Vaccine in the last week and can say already say that I find it to be pretty impressive. It's super smooth, silky even. The texture of it is hard to describe, it's like a cream but not oily, like a paste but not grainy. It's velvety and feels wonderful on your face and even just between your fingers when applying it. I used it in conjunction with a serum product from The Ordinary and found then to be a good combo. I also shared some with my house mate who loved it. She said that its almost like a primer and felt really good to use before applying makeup. Great product, two thumbs up.
Absolutely brilliantThis product is God's gift to Earth. It is so amazingly brilliant, leaving the skin feeling like silk. I'm only 16 years old and even I know a good hydrating product when I see one. Totally worth every cent I paid and I feel amazing while wearing this product. Even under make up or by itself, it doesn't matter, the product glides on beautifully. Can't wait to buy another one. The ONLY problem I have with it, is I wish it wasn't so good because then my sister wouldn't steal mine.
