Shop Makeup For Dry Skin
Finding the right makeup for dry skin is essential - it's surprising how many formulas can cling unflatteringly to dry areas, or look too "flat" rather than like skin. Those of us with dry skin at Adore Beauty have put together a list of our favourite products.
From light coverage to full, from primers to setting sprays, we've got dry skin covered. After moisturising, apply a primer made to hydrate the skin. This will keep your skin from looking flat or full throughout the day, while really locking in your makeup. Try going for a lighter coverage foundation with a dewy finish, and go back in with a high coverage concealer over any blemishes.
If your skin is too dry for powder, skip it completely! Or if you still get an oily T-zone, only apply powder where you need it. Try using a mineral powder over the top of tinted moisturiser, which will add just a bit of coverage but wont completely mattify your face.
And speaking of, try giving mineral powder a shot! Many new-generation mineral powders are made with skincare ingredients and emollients, so you may be very surprised at how flattering and hydrating they are.
A cream blush and contour will add dimension and colour. Look for creams that have a transparent base - think more like a jelly than a cream. Or try a liquid tint, which will last all day and give you a natural looking flush.
Don't forget - there are hydrating setting sprays that leave you with a dewy, hydrated finish and keep your makeup looking fresh.
