Domestic violence is a huge issue that is being compounded by COVID-19, with victims being forced into isolation with abusive partners. Not only have incidents increased, but victims are finding it even harder to get help.
• 1 in 4 Australian women have experienced domestic violence since the age of 15.
• Intimate partner violence is the greatest health risk factor for women aged 25-44.
Everyone deserves to feel safe at home, and now, more than ever, domestic violence victims need your help.
Adore Beauty is pleased to be supporting safe steps, a service that offers essential crisis support for women and children experiencing family violence, including a 24/7 phone line, safety planning, emergency accommodation and transport. On any given night, safe steps Family Violence Response Centre can be providing crisis accommodation to 116 women and children escaping family violence.
