Most Helpful Positive

perfect for my dry skin

Samantha

Most physical sunscreens are very mattifying which is terrible for my dry skin. I want to look glowy and hydrated and this guy does the trick! The texture is very creamy and on the thicker side, but it doesn't leave a white cast. If you have normal to dry skin I can't recommend this enough!

Not for me

AC

I am a huge fan of Grown Alchemist products, but sadly this sunscreen is not for me! The texture from the tube appears thick and grainy, and application takes some practice. If sunscreen is all that you wear, it is super easy to reapply as it is very smooth on the skin. However, even a small amount requires some time to sit and absorb on the skin before you can apply anything else on top! Ultimately, it does what it promises - provide *some* sun protection and is very hydrating - but as a very fair skinned person, SPF30 is just simply not enough for me!

  2. Super shiny

    Ellen

I’ve been looking for a physical SPF that goes on nicely and does not irritate my skin. This one doesn’t irritate but my holly does it leave the skin feeling very greasy and looking shiny and with a white cast! I’m pretty disappointed given the price of this one.

I’m always on the hunt for a good sunscreen. I have normal to dry skin with some pigmentation and this sunscreen is definitely hydrating. It has a subtle scent that doesn’t smell like typical SPF and unfortunately there is a slight white cast. I don’t mind using it under make up but I wouldn’t be using it just by itself because of the white cast look.
  5. Way too greasy for my liking

    Maddy

I had high hopes for this as I love the brand and have been hunting for a good sunscreen for my face for ages. Alas, this is not what I’m looking for. It’s super heavy and greasy and leaves me feeling sticky. Really not great for layering with skincare under and make up over. I have oily skin so more grease is not what I need. I’ve been using it up on my body, but won’t be using it on my face aga...

  6. Safe natural sunscreen

    Suzanne

I attracted to this brand and the sunscreen because I started switching into clean skincare. I initially found the sunscreen was too thick, too oily for my oily skin and I don’t like it at all, luckily it didn’t break me out. Later I realised that I do not need a lot but must warm it up by rubbing it on the palm of my hands, then applied on my face. The sun screen is very hydrating that I do not n...
