Best toner

Niranga

This is a great toner. Didn't dry my skin at all...
I use it as a part of my 3 step regime and this set has improved my skin dramatically over the past few months..love it.

  2. Do not reccommend,very drying

    S_JM

I have an oily skin type, and honestly I just found that this toner gave me dry patches when I never had them before. Would never use again, you can smell the alcohol content in this is high. Alcohol is very drying for the skin and I really feel that this product does worse for the skin rather than any good.
  3. Perfect Addition

    Narelle

I use this in the 3 step system and love it. I don't find it dries my skin out and create really tight skin, or as stripping as some other brands can do, especially to oily skin. I have oily combination, and find it a perfect fit for me
  4. So much alcohol

    Jessica

This contains alcohol as the second ingredient after water. So it is a drying stripping toner.
I got a mini size of this and immediately when I applied this on my skin the alcohol scent made me gag. Over time this will most likely not be good for my skin.
With all the better products out there I don't see a need to purchase a full size of this.
I don't understand why Clinique will have such a basic, old style harsh toner when their brand is all about being good to the skin, dermatologist recommended etc.
They're big on pushing no added fragrance message but still sell alcohol toners.
  5. Good product

    Kyla

I have very acne prone skin that is quite dry, I have been using this for a week and am unsure about it. I do however like that after washing with a balm and then foam wash when using the toner you can still see little bits of dirt, makeup and rough skin. I will continue with this as i do like the results from it
  6. Not a fan

    Kylie

I am not as fan of these toners sold as part of the 3 step skincare. They are full of alcohols and are over drying on the skin. Not necessary and in fact makes your body work harder to replace the lost moisture
  7. Astringent toner

    Kirsty

I used this stuff throughout my 20s, It is alcohol-based (listed as the 2nd ingredient) and has quite a strong chemical-type smell. This is what I would call an "old-school" toner, when it was thought a toning 'stage' was needed to tighten the pores and remove traces of your cleanser. Now that we're all acid-toning and using refreshing/hydrating toners, instead of alcohol-based astringent ones, the Clinique Clarifying Lotions seem a little old-fashioned.
