A Cult Classic

I just cant go past this product for so many reasons. Leaves skin exfoliated, removes cleanser, removes dirt and makeup the cleanser didnt remove! Small flakes of skin actually are wiped off!
Using only a tiny bit is fine and the bottle will last such a long time!

This lotion claims to help pores look their smallest i found it didn't really do much for my pores they were still large by the end of the bottle.

I stopped using thka for a bit because I felt like it didn't do much but boy was i wrong, I happened to use it the other day and could see the difference in skin texture immediately.

  3. Always come back to this!

    Dee

I always end up coming back to this toner! It’s quite strong and has a slight tingling sensation which I actually enjoy, but imagine it might be too harsh for sensitive skin (also be before to avoid the eye area!) It does feel as though it dries the skin out a little, but followed with a moisturiser, serum or oil and I’ve never had any problems!
  4. good toner.

    Christina

i very love to use it in summer after washing my face, as a second time cleaning. it is very pure and deep clean my skin which i always want toner like this.
  5. Standard beauty staple. Nothing else compares.

    Rebecca

I have been using this on and off for over 20 years. I’ve tried many different alternatives but nothing compares. I keep going back to this. My skin is sensitive and tends to be dry or have patchy dry spots. This toner helps exfoliate and even out dry patches and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean but doesn’t strip it. Will keep coming back to Clinique... will always be a staple in my beauty...

  7. Refreshing

    ML

I’ve been using this for a few months and I love it, very refreshing, not drying.
  8. Sometimes you need a change...

    Tj

I had this in my younger years and it was great had great results. I returned to Clinique and now find the toner drying on my skin. So you do need to assess the toner you need for your skin. At one stage I spoke with Clinique who said if it tingles then it's the right one. But the one for dry skin is best for me.
  9. Tingles

    P

It cools but tingles and that tingle lasts a while and it does make my skin way too tight and dry.
  10. Love the Zing, for amazing skin

    BeautyYoda: SkinWisdom

Let's be clear from the start. This very lotion is one of the most contentious and misunderstood products out there. It is a liquid exfoliant that is designed to be used where one would normally use a toner.

It is a product that I have had a few problems with in my youth, however, I now embrace it wholeheartedly at almost fifty!

It leave the skin pure; fresh; clear and s...

    Hayley

Great toner that doesn’t leave your skin with the stuff feeling. Notice my pores shrunk too!
  12. Good Toner

    Michelle

This is good for exfoliating and keeps your pores nice and clear. Overall a good daily toner!
  13. Didn't notice any difference

    Akanksha

I just did not notice any difference to the skin so everything else just becomes insignificant.
  14. Good for prepping

    Ka

This is a good toner for dry skin. It preps my skin for makeup/ moisturiser application and makes it feel clean and refreshed
  15. Nice toner

    Tenille

I love this! They call it "lotion" but it's a toner and some people might not like how it leaves a slight burning sensation to your skin when you wipe it all over your face. It def. wipes away the dirt and cleans my skin before I can apply any moisturizers.
  16. noticeable difference

    Mad

I have been using this twice a day for the past few weeks and I wouldn’t say it is leaving me a freshly exfoliated feeling but it has helped me balance my skin and make my skin tone more even even. I use it like a toner and it works well for for that. You don’t need much so the bottle is going to last for ages
  17. An excellent toner for everyday use

    Jacinta

An excellent toner for everyday use, it's quite strong, but seems to clean my skin up really well. I have tend to use a heavy moisturiser after using it as it can feel a little drying at times. It's really cheap for how good it is.
  18. Love It

    Maddison

I use this product like a toner on my skin, it cleans pores and leaves skin feeling fresh. While it isnt too harsh, it does leave you feeling a little tight skinned afterwards, so a moisturizer is a must!
  19. Great Product

    Ally

This product does great at removing any dead skin that's on the surface. It can be a bit drying though so make sure you moisturise afterwards!
  20. love it

    Anne

I used this years ago and I loved it.
Recently rediscovered it and don't know why I stopped using this.
It clears up any blemish and acne. I even use this on my arms and chest to clear up milk acne. Works like magic.
Can be quite drying but I don't mind as long as I moisturise after use. Doesn't dry out my skin at all. Love it!
  21. A good toner

    Di

A great toner for all skin types. It Isnt drying and leaves skin feeling clean and fresh!
  22. LOVE

    Loz

I have combination skin, my forehead can get particularly oil and I break out. This is the only product that has worked and got rid of my acne. Im aware that some people may be sensitive to the alcohol content but I have had no issues.
  23. Great

    Tanya

Love this toner for my acne prone skin though it can be slightly drying because of the witch hazel but it is effective in making my skin feel fresh and clean and has definitely reduced my breakouts
  24. Too harsh - there are much gentler products on the market

    Rebecca

I used to be an avid user of Clinique products but I always found this toner far too harsh on my skin. A good friend who is a beautician said to avoid it because of the alcohol content, but the formula may have changed since then (15 years ago!). I have oil-prone skin so I quite like to use a toner, to really remove all the dirt and oil, but I just found this would strip away too much. I think t...

  25. Definitely makes you feel clean

    Shea

This toner is too strong for my dry, aging skin. I love the way it makes me feel fresh and clean but it is too drying unfortunately. Perhaps try if your skin is normal or oily.
  26. Best toner I've used yet!

    ET

Got a sample of this toner in one of my orders and now it's become a staple in my skincare routine. I have combination skin (oily t-zone and dry elsewhere), and found that when my skin feels heavy at the end of a long day, I like to apply this with a cotton pad (I split the cotton pad in half to avoid it soaking up too much product) and wipe away at my t-zone and the outer edges of my face. This i...

  27. Was alright..

    Phoebe

Didn't do much for my skin tbh. Refreshing and was an okay toner. It was decent but wouldn't repurchase.
  28. Why so drying

    Kylie

I stopped using the 3 step system even though I like step 1 and 3 because of this product. There is just no need for toners to be so over drying - I think this actually causes more oiliness in my skin so not a fan of step 2 sorry Clinique.
  29. Alcohol in a bottle

    Amy

I love clinique but this toner is so outdated. Its full of alcohol which should never be used on the face. Its drying, stripping, and burns!
  30. Staple

    Bec

I have oily combination skin. I have been using this lotion as part of my 3 step for years now. This lotion makes my skin feel very fresh after cleasing. I normally use lotion 2 in winter for a slightly more nourishing routine.
  31. Good value, effective product

    Watto

I use this product like a toner on my skin, it cleans pores and leaves skin feeling fresh. While it isnt too harsh, it does leave you feeling a little tight skinned afterwards, so a moisturizer is a must!
  32. Love the 3 step

    Georgia

I use this liner twice daily as apart of the Clinique 3-step. It’s fantastic, really cleans the skin, leaves a slight tingling feeling and the moisturiser absorbs really well after it. I have combination skin.
  33. Better than the fully green one

    Mikaela

When I use this toner it feels so refreshing. It doesn't seem to hurt my eyes like the green toner clinique has. Can be a little drying so gotta use a moisturizer
  34. Refreshing Toner

    Kirstin

This toner offers a refreshing, tingling feeling after cleansing. I use the Clinique 3 Step and I enjoy what this product offers. It provides a clean and fresh feeling whilst gently cleansing away any residuals dirt or makeup. It’s a good product.
  35. It's okay but not good for dry skin

    Grace

This is okay but it's far too drying for my skin
  36. Good but not sure if it actually does anything

    Holly

No complaints but I just don't really feel like this does anything for my skin
  37. OK not the best

    stackcats

I normally use the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0 (zero alcohol) and I like it better. This one (2) contains alcohol and will sting your eyes if it gets too close to your eyes. It's slightly drying for my combination skin.
  38. Didn't like it. Won't repurchase.

    Anne

This toner is ok for removing make up and oils from the face. However, it didn't make a difference to my skin except left it flaky and dry. I have combination skin yet it still dried out my skin even the oily areas. Didn't see a difference otherwise. Will not repurchase.
  39. Pretty good

    Beautylover

I use this as part of my clinique skincare routine once I've cleansed my skin I use this toner as part of the 3 step routine.

This tones does a good job of removing every day dirt and oil that builds up. I use it twice a day as part of my usual routine.
  40. Smooth skin

    Celina

This is a beautiful exfoliator. I don't like scrubs as I find them too abrasive and know they can cause micro-tears in the skin. Instead, I love cream exfoliating masks and toners.
It can tingle a little but this is a good thing! I love how clean and fresh my skin feels after. It doesn't make it too tight either- just fresh and bright!
If you want to move away from the scrubs I would ...
