Out of all the different designations for cruelty-free products, just one comes from our homeland of Australia. We’re proud to offer tons of CCF-approved products on our site! Read on to learn about this group's mission and standards.
What is Choose Cruelty Free?
CCF is a self-funding, independent, non-profit organisation aimed at helping Australian consumers find cruelty-free products that suit their needs. The group's seal of approval on packaging helps customers decide quickly if a product meets their personal definition of 'cruelty-free'.
How does CCF determine which companies are able to bear their seal of approval?
CCF sets an incredibly high standard for the companies it allows to bear its logo. CCF doesn't accept companies that use any form of animal testing at any step in the production chain. This includes suppliers of ingredients, the formulation process, and the finished product.
CCF administers a lengthy survey as part of the accreditation process. The organisation requires that companies have either never, or in the five years prior to the application, tested their raw materials, formulations, or products on animals.
Does CCF accept companies owned by parent companies that test on animals?
CCF does not accept applicants owned by parent companies that do allow animal testing. You can be sure that you're not complicit in any type of ethical nightmare when purchasing a product with this seal of approval on it. This is a major point of difference between CCF and other organisations, and a testament to CCF's dedication.
Does Adore Beauty stock any CCF-approved products?
