Most Helpful Positive

Lightweight moisture

I received this as a sample and loved it. It is very lightweight but provided lots of moisture. Lightweight enough to be layered with another moisturiser and makeup.

This is a hydrating serum that leaves your skin feeling moisturised but does have an oily texture.

  3. Great for dry skin

This is a fantastic serum for dry and/or sensitive skin. Although hard to source, the ingredients are aimed at hydrating dry skin - packed full of hyaluronic acid. The only negative aspect of this serum would probably be the packaging. I like that they've used an air-tight pump bottle to keep the active ingredients working, but the formula is very, very runny. You will need to be quick to not have the liquid drip off of your hands or face! All around, a great hydrating serum that is worth the price tag.

I'm not sure about this serum. The ingredients list is not provided on their website (or anywhere else), as if to maintain an air of mystery around the big department-store brands. Like a lot of Clarins products, it has a ridiculous amount of added fragrance, alcohol and colour, and a seed oil which you need to shake the bottle to mix in with the other ingredients. Meh.

I was pretty underwhelmed by this. I was hoping it would be a refreshing, hyaluronic-type serum, but it's really not.

Any interesting or quality ingredients appear well down the list after glycerine and preservatives such as butylene glycol. I really like Clarins' make-up, but am wondering how long the big brands can get away with charging a lot of money for fairly cheap ingredients?
