“The Old Bill” - British slang for the police.

With a background in Fine Arts and Art History, Creme is an expert in colour theory and was spotted by a talent agent to work as a manicurists on fashion and celebrity photo shoots. After creating nail shades for loads of haute couture brands like Gucci, Yigal Azrouel and Jimmy Choo, she launched her product range. butter LONDON was born in 1996 and the non-toxic formulations soon became a hit!
In the words of Creme herself, "butter London is all about exceptional colour. Colour with a difference, colour that we hope you've never really seen or thought of for your nails before. Our target audience isn't really age specific, it's more aimed at people who love fashion, and want to be able to join in on "behind the scenes" beauty moments from the shows. I design most of our shades with specific designers for specific seasons. Those that aren't straight off the catwalk are still designed around emergent trends coming out of those shows."
