Did This Routine Make A Difference To Our Thinning Hair?

Thinning hair is a topic our customers ask us about constantly, and if you’ve got very fine or thinning hair yourself, you’ve probably invested in countless products that promise to thicken your hair to no avail.

That’s where we come in – we’ve trialled Aveda’s Invati range on your behalf, which is designed to reduce hair loss due to breakage.

About The Range:

The Invati range (meaning “invigorate” in Sanskrit) is made up of three products: an Exfoliating Shampoo, Thickening Conditioner and Scalp Revitaliser, which work together to target thinning hair.

The shampoo gently exfoliates, cleanses and renews the scalp with salicylic acid to remove debris build-up that can clog follicles. The nourishing formula also helps to prevent breakage during shampooing.

Aveda’s Invati Thickening Conditioner does just that – thickens. But it also weightlessly conditions the hair with plant oils, while amino acids strengthen the hair from roots to ends.

And finally, the Scalp Revitaliser penetrates the scalp to help support the hair’s natural keratin. It instantly provides a thickening effect to help lift hair at the root while ginseng and turmeric invigorate the scalp. So the question is, did it work?

Tresna: Thinning Hairline

“I have loads of very fine hair, except for the top of my head towards my fringe area. I find myself having to clip my hair in a particular way to hide what looks like a balding scalp! The shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling good and I think they definitely helped my hair to appear thicker. The spray took a little getting used to – too much product left my hair feeling crunchy and I ended up having to wash my hair more frequently to remove the build-up of product. Eventually, I figured out I only needed 3-4 sprays for this part of my scalp. Did it work? I definitely see an improvement in the appearance of my hair in this area, with the hair seemingly looking thicker and fuller. I also have a lot of new growth which I believe to be a combination of this product and also upping my collagen intake over the last month.”

Charley: Naturally Fine Hair

“Initially, upon trialling the Invati range I struggled to have an opinion on it either way.  I have fine, naturally straight hair, with oily roots. The conditioner felt beautiful, and the Scalp Revitalizer cooling, however, I wasn’t used to having a shampoo that didn’t really lather, so found this a challenge to begin with. I persevered and once I’d worked out how best to use the shampoo for my hair, I began to enjoy the product more – and it’s worth the wait! Not only did my hair loss reduce and my hair feel stronger (less fallout in my brush!) the overall health of my hair has improved.  My colour appears less dull and my roots are less oily, and the best part – I can go an extra day between washes, woohoo!”

Liz: Post-Treatment Hair Loss

“After having chemotherapy a few years ago, my hair never regained its thickness, and has remained very thin and sparse especially at the crown, which I usually disguise with a colour spray. I decided to try the Invati range, and while I do really like the shampoo and conditioner, I’m not sure there’s been a noticeable change in hair growth. But I still would repurchase the Invati shampoo and conditioner as they seem to give my hair more body and a feeling of fullness.”
