PSA: This Hydrating Serum Is Also A Face Tan

As someone who's had an allergic reaction to nearly every tan they've used on their face, I'm pretty cautious when trying new tanning products. Previous experiences have included rashes, sandpaper-textured skin and general blotchiness that takes up to a week to subside.

While I have found the solution in Eco Tan's Face Tan Water, I was so intrigued by Tan-Luxe Super Glow that I was willing to risk a potential reaction. I mean, I saw Caroline Hirons post about it, so I had to try it firsthand, rash or not.

What's Different About This Face Tan?

Umm for starters, not only is it a gradual tan, but it's also a HYDRATING SERUM. Yes, I'm yelling because it's that exciting.

It's actually the first hyaluronic, superfood self-tan serum that can be used daily as part of your skincare routine. It contains two forms of Hyaluronic Acid to provide lasting hydration, while minimising water loss, resulting in a dewier, plumper look & feel to skin. Honestly, how could this get any better? Oh yeah, it's got anti-ageing properties too *mic drop*.

The formula of Tan-Luxe Super Glow also consists of a number of superfood extracts and just the right percentage of tanning actives (4% DHA) to give your skin a beautiful, natural-looking and buildable hint of colour that fades evenly.

What's Actually In It?

Apart from Hyaluronic Acid and tanning actives, this formula is also packed with skin-nourishing superfoods designed to offer protection from environmental damage.

Chia Seed Oil: maintains healthy moisture levels to prevent dehydration

Beetroot Extract: contains Vitamin C to help brighten the complexion

Raspberry Seed Oil: rich in antioxidants, it has anti-inflammatory & anti-ageing properties

Avocado Oil: contains fatty acids, and vitamins A, D, and E to nourish & protect

Kale Extract: packed with vitamins & antioxidants to brighten & firm the skin

Blueberry Extract: rich in antioxidants to protect the skin from environmental damage

Coconut Oil: acts as an anti-inflammatory ingredient

I’ve had it no more than two weeks (ish), but am literally using it morning and night. I’m not joking. I’ll keep it short. If you are not blessed with a lot of melanin like our darker sisters (and brothers) and are, at times, a tad sallow (yellow, pale, milk-bottle white), you need this. I have a few makeup/cosmetic items that I am currently obsessed with, but this Super Glow Serum from Tan-Luxe is brilliant. I mean, ‘dog’s bollocks’ brilliant.
