What Does A Primer Do?
A constant question I get is "do I really need to use a primer?" And my answer is always yes. A primer not only gives your foundation a suitable base to sit on top of, but it can also increase the longevity of your makeup so it doesn't separate or slide off throughout the day.
Using a primer can also help to prevent your foundation from oxidising (i.e your foundation from turning orange or discoloured). Oxidising occurs when the natural oils from your skin interfere with your foundation, so applying that layer of primer between your skin and foundation can make a difference.

I get it, $75 for a primer seems a bit steep, but I'd honestly buy this again full price. And if you're already using the Luminous Silk Foundation, this is a must-have - and if you're not, it's still a must-have.

I'm now officially obsessed with Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Hydrating Primer for one main reason: It makes my skin look majorly glowy. Unlike other primers that feel heavy and chalky or too greasy (especially when they're formulated for luminosity), this primer is inspired by the texture of charmeuse silk and feels just as luxurious as you might expect.

It’s a splurge but it does give any foundation an upgrade, making it look more luxe. It gave my skin a visible radiance which showed (subtly) through my foundation, and gave a very smooth, longer-lasting finish to my base.
