I’ve always hated my natural hair. It’s very fine, curly underneath and a weird, straight, kind of fluffy on the top. Before ghd was introduced to the Australian market in 2001, I was using a clothes iron to straighten it (am I showing my age?) It was a two person job, but it worked... in a fry-the-F-out-of-your-hair kind of way.
Fast forward 20 years and I was still in an unhealthy relationship with my hair. I had extensions for about 10 years and was constantly heat styling my poor depleted strands. But this year, I decided my New Year's resolution would be to embrace what is mine and be nice to it. So that's exactly what I did.
