Trending: Rozalia Russian’s Beauty Must-Haves
Joanna Fleming

With 210K Instagram followers, an enviable wardrobe, and two little ones in toe, I was interested to find out what Rozalia Russian’s beauty routine consisted of – how does the Melbourne-based socialite and influencer manage to maintain flawless, glowing skin even after just having her second baby?

Low and behold, Rozalia shared her current routine with us on her Instagram story, and in case you missed it – here are her top beauty picks!

SK-II Facial Treatment Oil

“I like to use a couple of drops of this Facial Treatment Oil, I just find it really gives my skin a beautiful glow and just makes it super soft so you only need a couple of drops.”

Our Tip: Mix a drop or two of SK-II Facial Treatment Oil into your foundation to get a natural-looking, dewy finish to the skin.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara

“I actually prefer a smaller brush, as I find the application easier and this is the perfect brush size for me. Any time I have tried mascara with a full thick brush, I feel like I am getting more product around my lashes, than the lashes themselves. Any time I use this mascara, I have never had a single smudge, so this one is great in summer time to withstand oily skin and sweat.”

Our Tip: For fuller, longer lashes, apply Estée Lauder Lash Primer Plus Full Treatment Formula prior to boosts the effects of your mascara and extend its wear.

Alpha-H Vitamin B Serum

“My new current obsession is the Alpha-H Vitamin B Serum! It’s giving my sleep deprived skin a much needed hydration boost! I’ve definitely noticed my skin has been brighter despite the lack of Z’s”

The 4 Beauty Staples In Emma Watson’s Makeup Bag
Joanna Fleming

She’s the epitome of natural, effortless beauty. Having grown up in front of our eyes, Emma Watson has taken the spotlight in her stride, and we’re eager to know the secret behind her flawless skin, and her classic approach to beauty.

Hint: It’s organic & ethical.

Emma Watson divulged her beauty secrets to Into The Gloss, ahead of the much anticipated premier of Beauty & The Beast.

Emma’s Must-Haves:

For A Bold Statement Lip:

Emma uses Inika Vegan Natural Lipstick

“If I’m doing my makeup myself, I do quite a clean eye and a matte red lip. The red lip always comes out if something important is happening. I did it on graduation day, and I did it for the Women’s March! Inika is a brand that does beautiful colors.”

For the perfect Emma Watson-inspired statement lip, we recommend shade After Dark.

For The Perfect Winged Liner:

Emma uses Jane Iredale Liquid Eye Liner

“With the lip, I tend to do a soft line on the top of my eye in brown, and what I call the banana — but that’s probably not the technical term for the contour above your eye. Finding a good, natural eyeliner took me like, six months, but I found one! Jane Iredale does an amazing liquid eyeliner and she has one in a dark brown, which I prefer to black on my skintone.”

This is a non-irritating formula made with highly pigmented iron oxides, no damaging chemicals & essential oils nourish the skin and prevent drying.

For A Natural, Everyday Fragrance:

Emma uses Weleda Sage Deodorant

“It took me a while, but I finally found some good natural deodorant. It’s not an easy search! I love the Weleda Sage Deodorant for the smell.”

Sage has a beautiful earthy, herbaceous scent with a slight hint of a citrus note.

For Enviable Brows:

Emma uses Jane Iredale Purebrow Gel

“The Jane Iredale Brow Gel is also very good.”

This gel gives the brows a subtle tint, while holding them in place. Brush into brows in an upward motion from the front of the brow out to the tail.

Which Dry Shampoo Do The Beauty Experts Use?
Joanna Fleming

You can’t really appreciate the magic of dry shampoo til you find a formula that works for your hair.

It was a game of trial and error for me, I found some formulas made my hair feel sticky, others too chalky. Then I found my favourite formula and I haven’t looked back.

How Dry Shampoo Works:

– The ingredients in dry shampoo work by absorbing the excess oil in your hair

– Most dry shampoos come in an aerosol spray can for easy, mess-free application

– Simply section the hair and spray into the roots from a few inches away

– If the product does go a bit powdery, simply use your fingertips to blend it in

– You can apply dry shampoo to roots, mid-lengths and ends

– Dry shampoo targets oiliness at the roots, and adds texture

A post shared by Rebecca Judd (@becjudd) on

What You Should Know:

– Dry shampoo isn’t a replacement for your regular hair washing routine

– It’s important to wash your hair after using dry shampoo to avoid build up

– Dry shampoo is great for adding volume and texture to the hair

Joanna’s Pick:

I’m currently using Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo for Dark Tones (shop here). I’ve tried a lot of dry shampoos but I love this one because it gives my fine hair a lift at the roots, and banishes any sign of oiliness.

When my hair starts to get a bit oily, it looks very flat, so I just section the top half of my hair and spray through my roots and fluff it up with my fingertips to blend it in. If I want more volume at the roots, I backcomb underneath the top layer of my hair after spraying in Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo.

Blush Is Back: This Is How To Choose The Right Shade For Your Skin Tone
Joanna Fleming

Blush is well and truly back! After a brief hiatus from the beauty world – temporarily outshone by the wonders of bronzer and highlighter – blush has made its return.

Not every blush is the same shade, so to ensure you’re choosing the right shade for your skin tone, we’ve created a little go-to guide with the help of our resident makeup artist.

Shop Blush here

Light Skin Tones

Best suited to: Red, pink and light peachy shades.

Stay away from anything too orange, as it could look too harsh on skin. Otherwise, if you want to add a little more warmth to your complexion, you can go with a light bronzer, or BECCA Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle doubles as a blush and highlighter (shop here).

Products that will compliment light skin tones are Clarins Blush Prodige Illuminating Cheek Colour in Sweet Rose (shop here) or Benefit CORALista (shop here).

Medium Skin Tones

Best suited to: Rich pinks, warm mauves and apricot shades.

For medium skin tones, stay away from cool colours, as they can leave olive complexions looking dull.

Products I’d recommend for medium/olive skin tones are BECCA Luminous Blush in Snapdragon (shop here) or Youngblood Pressed Mineral Blush in Blossom (shop here).

Deeper Skin Tones

Best suited to: Bold colours!

Bold shades look incredible on dark skin tones. Stay away from anything too light, or too purple, as it can look unflattering on the skin.

I love blushes with a slight gold shimmer through it, as it really lifts the cheeks and makes the skin look absolutely beautiful!

If you have dark skin, the blushes I’d go for are theBalm Instain Long Wearing Staining Powder Blush in Lace (shop here) or Bobbi Brown Blush in Berry (shop here).

Why Green Tea Is The Latest ‘It’ Ingredient In Skincare
Joanna Fleming

You may find one of the most sought after skincare ingredients sitting in your pantry. Not only is green tea beneficial when you drink it, but it’s topical benefits are endless…

Anti-Inflammatory Properties

Green Tea has been proven to have significant anti-inflammatory properties, making it especially ideal for sensitive and irritable skin types.

If you experience psoriasis, rosacea or acne, you may find the cooling, calming benefits of Green Tea helpful!

Green Tea is also used in many eye products for it’s de-puffing properties – Vitamin K, antioxidants and tannins in Green Tea work to reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness in the eye area.

Anti-Bacterial Properties

Catchetins found in Green Tea possess anti-bacterial benefits that help to fight acne-causing bacteria, while anti-inflammatory properties also help to reduce the redness and inflammation associated with acne.

Tannins in Green Tea act as an astringent, helping to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores. Research has also shown Green Tea is effective in treating the production of excess oil.

Anti-Ageing Properties

The components of Green Tea have been widely researched for their ongoing benefits. Green Tea was subsequently found to have effective anti-ageing properties, due to it’s antioxidant content, which fights free radical damage (a known contributor to accelerated ageing).

Antioxidants also encourage the healing of damaged skin cells, reducing the effects of environmental damage.

asap soothing gel

asap‘s soothing gel reduces inflammation and soothes damaged skin. The anti-inflammatory properties promote healing, calm the skin and reduce the appearance of redness. This water-based gel formulation hydrates without adding oil, making it an ideal moisturiser, particularly for oily skin. Shop here.

What Our Customers Think:

★★★★★ Best foundation for oily skin! Emma

“I bought this randomly not doing much research but I was so impressed. I get a really really oily t-zone throughout the day, and most foundations melt off on me. This foundation is the only foundation I have ever tried that stays dry on my face throughout the whole day. It’s not super matte either, I would say it’s a more semi matte finish. It has high coverage, but I don’t find it heavy or uncomfortable.”

★★★★★ Love it! – Stephie

“I’ve been using this product for years now and it has never let me down. It’s long lasting and provides great cover for my pigmented skin. I have recommended this product to friends and they are still using it today.”

★★★★★ It’s the oily girls foundation Karlie

“I have an oil slick on my face and makeup likes to slide of it within a couple of hours. Double Wear is brilliant. It has a nice coverage, its buildable, it sets nicely and keeps the oilies away for the longest of time on my skin.”

★★★★★ Best Foundation Zoey

“Ever since I bought this foundation I’ve never used another. 5 stars for double wear. 5 stars for adore beauty as well, thanks for my samples and Tim tam!”
